Called also as the American Antelope, the second-fastest animal after the African Cheetah. They have very keen eyes for threats and incoming danger and will be gone as soon as they hear the softest of a hush in the distance with their great senses.

This class 4 animal is located only in the Silver Ridge Peaks. They are huge lovers of rocky terrain so that is exactly where they will be found. But there are certain tricks to making this easier. Let me help you with these tips.

There are tons of Pronghorns in this bottom east corner of the map. Wherever you shall roam in the area, you will be able to see them. Mostly, give it around 30 minutes for every animal to get to their location – drinking or resting.

You will find them around the lakes the most. Where the arrow is pointing on the picture, that is where the majority of them you will find at times.

1. The First level 5 Pronghorn

This is a level 5 Pronghorn which you can find as located on the map. Used a .308 rifle from  300 meters away. It was a clean shot.

You can shoot in through the heart to get the most clean shot. Should be pretty simple and easy when they have their head lowered at the ground level. Be sure not to make noise as to not spook them.

They should be pretty simple to find but to find the level 5 ones, as well as diamond ones, you need to be very patient and stalk through the trees quietly.

2. The Second level 5 Pronghorn

If you see the animal run away from you, make sure it is going to run into an open field, you have a chance at least to hit it whilst it’s running away from you. Otherwise, you might lose it, because it is very fast.

You will always see a herd of them because they are social. Get your rifle out, and go for the heart. It should take 1 clean rifle shot to put it down.

This is a diamond Pronghorn found and killed with a clean shot.

It is located here.

You can find a lot of Pronghorns in the surrounding area. Many of them are level 1-4, and the level 5 ones are pretty rare. In my experience, the highest level Pronghorns are around the lakes, and i have marked them for you like this.

3. The Rifle

You can use different kinds of rifles for hunting these Pronghorns down, but in my experience, the most effective was just a plain simple .308 rifle. My favorite for doing this deed is none other than the ZARZA -10.

This rifle comes as a part of the Modern Rifle pack DLC. It comes free. It is also the first chambered rifle with .308 ammo that you get in the game. Some people use the M1-Iwaniec, but it is really your preference. This one does the trick for me, from a distance up to 300 meters away.
