Unlike the other animals on the map, goats are pretty scarce. There are really not many locations as to where to find them easily and some would say that is a good thing because it is sure to find them there. I have marked a couple of them that are more populated than others.

The while locations are where you can find most of them. Of course, they are gonna be on the hill or mountain sides, I mean look at how they are called. The red parts are where I haven’t been able to find any of them.

1. First Diamond Goat

Goats have a really long drinking time. This is when you will have to time your hunting sessions. They will be really focused on the water and you can even come close to them. Here is how i hunted a Diamond goat next to a lake.

Once you find them next to lakes, they will move around in companies. Level 5’s should be easy to take down with a clean heart shot. Remember, 09:00 to 11:30 is the key.

If you can’t find a diamond one, just make a loop around the 6 lakes because there are not many places for them to spawn. And in time, you will be sure to get one.

Really the .308 should do the trick. Should be pretty simple to time the shot. Aim at the heart while it is drinking, or it is much easier when it is looking uphill. They weigh a lot, so make sure you don’t miss the shot because it might run away.

2. The Rifle

My biggest friend in hunting is the one and only .308 rifle, especially the ZARZA-10. This trusty rifle has never let me down. It can take down anything from lightweight animals to the very heavyweight 115-140 kg Mountain Goats. Usually from around 300 meters away.

This weapon comes free with the Modern Rifle Pack DLC. It is the first .308 rifle that has chambered rounds. You can, of course, go with another .308 rifle, like for example, the M1-Iwaniec does magic as well.
