If you’re a fan of Bleach or just want to know more about one of the newest weapons on the block, then you’ve come to the right place. Everything you need to know from the individual requirements to the farming locations, this in-depth guide and showcase of the Ulquiorra (Nox) weapon in Dawn Piece has got you covered. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
How to Get Ulquiorra (Nox) Sword
Requirements
As with every high-end weapon in Dawn Piece, the Nox sword needs you to fulfill a few requirements beforehand. Get these first before grabbing this legendary weapon:
- 50 million money
- Espada race
- Noxflamma x1
- Hogyoku x1
- Soul x10
- Gold x500
- Iron x1000
Here are the methods of obtaining the requirements needed for the Ulquiorra NPC quest:
Espada Race
Out of all the requirements on this list, this is the longest one to grind for. Start by heading over to Logue Town at this specific area of the map. You want to roll for the Hollow Race. It might take a couple of tries before finally obtaining it. So stock up on your Shards, as each roll will cost 50!

By pressing Y, the game will display how much Hollow Experience you need to progress to the next race which is the Arrancar Race. You will need a maximum of 1000 experience points specifically.

The following mobs/bosses will grant you experience points:
NPCs | Experience points |
Hollow mobs | 5 Exp |
Arrancar mobs | 10 Exp |
Ulquiorra/Grimmjow bosses | 20-25 Exp |
When you have enough points, press Y again to transform your race. After obtaining the Arrancar Race, farm another 1000 Exp and then craft a Hogyoku. More information about the Hogyoku can be found below.
Completing all of these steps and pressing Y once more will transform you into the Espada Race!
Noxflamma

Noxflamma is one of the items that can be dropped after defeating the Ulquiorra boss. Take note that the item has a 0.5% drop rate.
Hogyoku

The Hogyoku can be crafted after speaking to the Aizen NPC found in Hueco Mundo (the newest map addition to the game). It will also require the following items:
- 10 million money
- Soul x100
- Boss Fragment x10
- Gold x250
Iron x500
On a side note, Boss Fragments can be obtained after defeating bosses. For each boss defeated, you are rewarded with one (1) Boss Fragment.
Soul fragments
You can earn Soul fragments after defeating Hollows and Arrancars. These are the new mobs that you can find also in Hueco Mundo.
Gold
One of the more common currencies, these are dropped by defeating mobs in Orange Town.
Iron
Similar to Gold, Iron can easily be found in the earlier stages of the game. They are dropped by mobs in the Starter Island area.
Additionally, defeating the Ulquiorra and Grimmjaw bosses can grant you a whopping 50% chance of earning 15-50 Gold or Iron. This can help you grind towards completing the mentioned items.
Getting the Ulquiorra (Nox) and Grimmjow (Lux)
If you plan on keeping both the Ulquiorra and Grimmjow weapons, look out for an item called the Espada Variant Orb. With a drop rate of 0.1%, only this will allow you to purchase both swords. Thankfully, this is not necessary when obtaining the Uliquiorra (Nox) sword in particular. Check out our guide to unlocking the Grimmjow (Lux) if you prefer that instead. Both are great options!
Location
First, travel to Logue Town and locate an NPC there named Kisuke. When you interact with him, you will have to spend 50,000 money for him to open a portal.

This will take you to Hueco Mundo where you can find the Uliquiorra boss, mobs, and quests needed for the sword.

When you have everything you need, speak with the Ulquiorra NPC to purchase the Nox sword. Awesome!

Additional Tips
All of the steps shown in this guide are slightly similar to the process of getting the Grimmjow sword. The only difference is a few key requirements, but other than that, the level of grind and farming locations are the same. When choosing which weapon to get, both offer their own sets of advantages and playstyles that do not give a competitive edge over the other. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. You won’t go wrong with choosing either of them!
After going through all of the details, getting the sword can sound tough to get. But don’t worry, it’s all a part of the game. Be sure to take your time and drink some water while you’re at it. Unless you’re a madman and finish this all in one sitting! If you enjoyed my guide/showcase of getting the Ulquiorra (Nox) in Dawn Piece, check out our other Dawn Piece guides down below!
