Creating the best deck requires a lot of thinking. You can’t just choose the cards with the highest number and put it in there. No, that’s a rookie mistake and you should avoid that. But if you do experience that, then that’s fine. It’s called a rookie mistake for a reason. However, making too many rookie mistakes will lead you to losing fights. In this guide, we will show you how to build your deck to the way you want it to be.

Deck Building Guide – Across the Obelisk

Across the Obelisk is an upcoming RPG deck-builder with co-op multiplayer | GamingOnLinux

When building a deck, you need to have your mind set on one idea. Do you want to do a lot of bleed damage? How about poison? Maybe you want to have a deck that has one high DPS character with the others being support?

There are a ton of ideas that can float around your head when choosing how to build it, so you have to choose one idea and stick with it. If you have an idea, you roll with it. The important things here is to have a deck you are familiar with. Having cards that you don’t use can be both good and bad.

Good because you’re branching out and testing other cards. Bad because you have to go through the learning curve. But the result justifies the bad if you can effectively use that card in your deck.

Deck building can take hours and hours just to get he perfect deck that you can use, so don’t rush. Take your time and examine what the card does and how to use it. Rushing will only be your downfall once you get into a fight with a deck that you have no idea how to use.
