The Sorcerous Sundries Vaults in Baldur’s Gate 3 is very, very armed with a lot of traps. But it’s also where you need to go to progress because a quest item is locked behind one of the vaults here. Don’t waste your time dealing with the traps and testing every single door randomly.

Sorcerous Sundries Vaults Solution
The first set of answers will get you The Tharchiate Codex containing the Necromancy of Thay inside the Elminster’s Vault. Theoretically, you can interact with every single door here and just flick whatever lever you see or destroy the doors in the process.
But you only need to interact with three doors for the Eliminster’s Vault: Silverhand, Evocation, and then Wish. Yes, interact with these doors in this specific order. Hovering over each door will also reveal the name of the doors.
At the final door, there will be a lever to pull. Do that and head over to the gate.
The other vault is Karsus’s Vault, which is where you need to go for the quest. Unlock the gate by interacting with these three doors: Silverhand, Abjuration, and then Silver. At the final room, Silver, you will see the level you have to pull to open the Gate.
And there you go, that’s the Karsus’s Vault! Inside, you’ll find the Annals of Karsus, Scroll of Dethrone, and a lot more loot. Don’t forget to also pick up the Annals after reading them to progress in the quest.
