Dead Cells has just had a new update in the form of the End is Near update. There’s a bunch of new content added in this update, which includes new heads you can unlock and equip. At this point, there are many heads that you can unlock.
Wanting to catch up with the game and get all of them? In this guide, we’ll be doing exactly that. We’ll show you exactly how you can unlock all the heads, including tips and strategies where applicable. Let’s get into it!
All Heads Unlock Guide
Before we get into the guide, it’s important to note that we will be providing spoilers for the Dead Cells story and levels. This is because some of the acquisition methods will require us to spoil certain things.
We’ve marked the heads that have a spoiler associated with them wherever we can if you’d still like to take a look.
With that said, there are a total of 43 heads that you can unlock in Dead Cells. About 41 of these were added as part of Update 35. Here is how you can unlock them all:
- Classic Head
- Unlocked by default
- Bobby Head
- Unlocked by default
- Concierge Flame
- Kill the Concierge 50 times
- Conjunctivius tentacles
- Kill Conjunctivius 50 times
- Mama Tick Eye
- Kill Mama Tick 50 times
- Time Keeper Mask
- Kill the Time Keeper 25 times
- Giant Flame
- Kill the Giant 25 times
- Scarecrow Hat
- Kill the Scarecrow 25 times
- Hand of the King Flame
- Kill the Hand of the King 15 times
- Servant Mask
- Kill the Servants 15 times
- Queen Flame
- Kill the Queen 12 times
- Collector Hood (SPOILER)
- Beat the Collector 10 times
- Black Hole
- Go through the whole island untouched
- We recommend you do this in Custom Mode with the Cursed Sword
- After that, rush through 0 BC without taking any damage.
- White Hole
- Get 200 curses
- To do this, use a mix of the Tainted Flask and Cursed Flask mutations
- After that, spam health pots until you reach 200 curses
- Violet Hole
- Unlocked by default
- Red Hole
- Unlock 7 Heads
- Green Hole
- Unlock 75 items
- Blue Hole
- Unlock all general upgrades, including Runes and Upgrades
- Biter Head
- Defeat the Hand of the King with Biters (worm grenade).
- We recommend getting his HP low before you use these grenades
- Make sure the Biters do not apply bleed or poison as this will not count.
- Vortex
- Unlocked by default
- Sanguine Vortex
- Fully clear a biome without taking any damage.
- We recommend rushing through Prison Quarters for it.
- Abyssal Vortex
- Win 3 runs in a row
- Dark Vortex
- Collect a total of 15 heads.
- Guillain Head
- Talk to every Guillain in the game
- You can find them in the Passages between two biomes.
- Fisherman Hood
- Collect a total of 40 heads
- There’s another method related to the Fisherman NPC but hasn’t been discovered yet.
- Leghugger Head
- Complete a run without evolving a Leghugger
- Flawless Torch(SPOILER)
- Get a Flawless kill on every boss in the game
- This also includes the tough Collector boss in 5 BC
- Cell
- Carry 1000 cells at a time
- We recommend doing this in custom mode with modifiers that help cell farming
- 4 BC gives the most cells and 5 BC has an extra biome that can help
- Evil Minion Head
- Watch the credits at the end of a run
- The unlock will pop up around the time the Evil Empire credits roll
- Toxic Blob
- Die from the Poisoned effect
- Drink the cursed flask or take the cursed sword and jump into the toxic sewers
- Glitch
- Defeat the True Final Boss in 5 BC
- Mushroom Boi Cap
- Complete the Dilapidated Arboretum with the Mushroom Boi without getting it killed
- An easy way to do this is to spawn the Mushroom Boi and then go through the portal.
- Horde Zero Hood
- Kill the Hand of the King with a turret
- You can have multiple turrets to make this easier
- But make sure the turrets do not have a DoT effect or leave fire on the ground.
- Magma Blob
- Die to lava
- You can find lava in the Giant’s Room in Prison Quarters
- Shadow Blob
- Die to darkness
- You can do this in Custom Mode with the darkness modifier turned on
- Sweet Blob
- Spawn 100 Biters in one run
- You can do this in Custom mode with legendary and normal worm grenades
- As a bonus, also equip a weapon that spawns Biters
- Spatial Anomaly
- Collect a total of 35 Heads
- Menacing Anomaly
- Complete a run while being cursed at the end
- Simply use a Cursed Flask before you leave
- Dark Blowtorch
- Defeat a boss with less than 5% health remaining
- Blowtorch
- Unlocked by default
- Golden Blowtorch
- Have 200k Gold in your inventory at the same time
- Bright Red Blowtorch
- Defeat a boss with the Fire Blast
- You cannot kill the boss using fire damage over time
- This is why Mama Tick is best, as she cannot burn
- Boss Cell
- Unlock the 5th Boss Stem Cell.
