Devas of Creation: Complete Catacombs Guide & Location

Devas of Creation has been making strides on Roblox lately as it is a relatively well-made MMORPG-like experience with a lot of challenging content to tackle. In this guide, we will be talking all about the Catacombs, which is a place that you will eventually have to enter as a part of the main quest and if you want to progress your character in general.

Complete Catacombs Guide & Location

First of all, you should first unlock the Lakeforest Catacombs Entry waypoint. This can be found in the highlighted part of the map image below. Not only is this a cliff jump away from the Catacombs, it is also very close to the repeatable free flying mount quest.

Unlocking this is incredibly helpful as you will be able to use it to teleport back if you ever die in the Catacombs (very likely) or if you need to come back after selling off your loot. It is beside a giant tree.

Once you enter the Catacombs, there is one important thing you need to keep in mind. As soon as you go far enough inside, your PVP setting will automatically turn on, and you cannot toggle it off inside.

Although the place itself is a PVP zone, it’s really easy to avoid other players unless they are trying to clear it as a full party. The only people I’ve seen in there are also minding their own business, so it is usually completely safe.

There are no real rules to surviving inside aside from just fighting well. If you want to study the location or simply skip certain enemies, it is highly recommended to use a mount to get in. Let’s get to why you might want to do that in the next section.

Enemies Inside the Catacombs

There are four main enemy types and a boss that you can encounter in the Catacombs, and they are the following:

  • Skeleton Warrior (level 40) – These are the most common and weakest mob you will encounter in this area. They have a red charging attack similar to other mobs in the overworld.
  • Spiders (Level 45) – These things have a poison attack that you can either dodge away from or cancel with a stunning move. They hang from the ceilings and will descend if you get close to where they are.
  • Skeleton General (Level 45) – They are essentially just tankier Skeleton Warriors. Watch out for their charge attack, as this will stun you if it hits, and they will get two free attacks on you.
  • Air Warlord (Level 45) – These have the same defensive stats as the Skeleton General, but they have a whopping 17000+ health, which is almost 4x that of the generals. Watch out for their red energy area of effect attack, as it can hit for almost 1.5k damage.
  • Baium (Level 52 Boss) – This big guy at the end of the zone has over 50k health and is surrounded by generals. His drop table is insane, though they have very low rates. Avoid him if solo, unless you are close to his level.

These enemies can drop epic and legendary gear or keys, though at a very low rate. If you have a party, you can easily farm through these mobs and hopefully get an item (with no craft perks, unfortunately).

If you are traveling around the place, all you really need to watchout for are the spiders, as they can catch you off guard and will almost always be chasing you in a group. Everything else can be beaten one on one, as long as you play it smart.

You can try checking out our guide on how to make a powerful build in the game for some tips that will be helpful here. One quick tip that you will definitely find useful, however is the parry loop that pretty much every enemy in the game (except bosses) follows.

Dealing With Enemies – Parry Loop (RANGED WEAPON ONLY)

Basically, after you land a successful parry on an enemy, you have a window of opportunity to either use an ability or go for three M1 attacks. This can be repeated almost infinitely, with the only thing stopping you being a charge attack that some enemies will use.

In the case of Catacombs enemies, all of these mobs have a charge attack of varying color energies. Whenever they do this, dodge backwards. After successfully dodging their charge attack, you can go back to the parry loop.

The basic attack version goes like this: Parry -> M1 -> M1 -> M1 -> Repeat from the start. If done correctly and consistently, you will never take damage from enemies here. Just remember to dodge charge attacks and wait for them to attack first afterwards.

With a ranged weapon (ideally the bow), mobs will never try to block unless you use an ability. This is why the loop works so well, and it will continue to do so unless the developers change how the AI works.

Here is an example of a charge attack by a Skeleton General for reference, which I will unfortunately take on purpose just for this screenshot:

Other Goodies in the Catacombs

One thing of note that makes this an important mid to late game location is the fact that here are a lot of resource nodes scattered all around the place. This includes Amberite, Amethystium, and more.

On top of that, various high rarity chests will spawn all around the place, which you can open with keys that drop from the enemies within the Catacombs as well. Finally, the mobs themselves can also drop Gemstones, which you will need for crafting epic and above gear.

That really is all you need to keep in mind if you are going to be traveling to the Catacombs. Obviously, you will want to bring your best gear, which in this case will probably be rare gear as you are very likely to be sent here before level 40.

Just take your time and fight enemies one by one if you are soloing the place, since getting mobbed here will be lethal unless you are using a tanky healer build for some reason. With all that said, good luck on your grind!
