If you’ve been diving into Elden Ring: Nightreign and wondering when your Nightfarers get to stop looking like medieval hobos and start looking like actual legends, you’re not alone. Skins and outfits in Nightreign are pure style, they don’t impact your build, but man, they sure make everything look ten times cooler. In this guide, I’m going to walk you through exactly how to unlock and change skins in Elden Ring: Nightreign, how much they cost, where to find them, and show off all the outfits available for each class.
How to Change Skins & Unlock Them
Unlike the original Elden Ring where fashion was tied to function, Nightreign treats cosmetics like trophies, purely for flexing. These skins, outfits, garbs (whatever you want to call them) are class-specific and mostly come in two flavors: Dawn (holy/golden) and Darkness (edgy/brooding). Unlocking them takes some work, but once you do, the wardrobe opens up and lets you mix style with slaughter.

How to Unlock Skins in Elden Ring: Nightreign
To even get access to skins, you need to make some solid progress in your campaign. Specifically:
- Beat Tricephalos – the three-headed Night Lord (mandatory first boss).
- Beat any second-tier Night Lord – in my case, it was the Gaping Jaw, but it seems any second one will do.
Once that’s done, head back to the Roundtable Hold. You’ll know it’s time when the Iron Menial (NPC) starts speaking to you, acknowledging your victories. This unlocks the Wardrobe Room, which you can fast travel to from the Hold map under the name “Change Garb.”

How to Change Skins (Outfits & Garbs)
Now that you’ve got the feature unlocked, here’s how to actually change your look:
- Head to the east wing of the Roundtable Hold or fast travel to Change Garb on your map.
- Interact with the dresser in the corner, it opens the Change Garb menu.
- Select any unlocked skin or buy new ones using Murk, the in-game currency you earn from playing.
Note: You won’t be changing individual pieces like in the base game, it’s full outfits per class.

Skin Prices & How to Get Murk
Skins don’t come cheap. Here’s the standard pricing for each:
- Dawn Skins: 14,000 Murk
- Darkness Skins: 35,000 Murk
Murk is earned by completing Expeditions, defeating bosses, and grinding dungeons. If you’re not buying Relics or upgrades, start saving for skins, it’s totally worth it if you’re into customization.
Also, some skins (like Remembrance outfits) unlock through Remembrance Quests, not purchases.
All Class Outfits Available
Here’s a complete look at the available skins so far for each class:
Wylder Claws
- Dawn: Gold tones, clean look.
- Darkness: More muted, not a huge upgrade.
Guardian Claws
- Dawn: Sleek and stylish.
- Darkness: Shadowy and powerful. This one slaps.
Iron Eye
- Dawn: Not bad, kind of standard.
- Darkness: Way cooler. Feels like a proper upgrade.
Duchess
- Dawn: Toned-down armor, classy.
- Darkness: Similar silhouette but the mask? Adds mystery and elegance.
Raider
- Dawn: Already pretty epic.
- Darkness: Top-tier. Helmet looks like a hippo skull, spine down the back, easily one of the most intimidating.
Revenant
- Dawn: Regal, golden, “holy” vibes.
- Darkness: Straight out of a funeral. Elegant, gothic, iconic.
Recluse
- Dawn: Yellow robe… not my favorite.
- Darkness: Gorgeous. Long white hair trailing behind, anime levels of cool.
Executor
- Dawn: Bright yellow, definitely stands out.
- Darkness: THE best skin in the game right now. Menacing, regal, stunning.
Wrap-Up
So there you have it! Changing skins in Elden Ring: Nightreign isn’t available right from the jump, but once you beat two Night Lords and unlock the wardrobe, you’re free to flex your favorite fits in every expedition. Whether you’re going full holy knight with the Dawn skins or channeling your inner goth with the Darkness ones, there’s something here for everyone. Personally? I’m torn between the Raider and the Executor Darkness skins, they just go so hard. Let me know which one’s your favorite and what you’re saving up for first!
