If you ever find yourself playing and adventuring throughout the wonderful world of Hogwarts Legacy and you’re unable to pick up some items because you might end up having too many gear and items in your inventory, there’s a solution for that issue and you’re in the right place.

In this guide, you will learn how to drop your gear in the chests and free up some more room for your character. Let’s get started.

How to Drop Gear in Chest – Hogwarts Legacy

You will need to press the Start button or simply go into the menu. Once you are in the character wheel screen you need to choose the Gear option which is on the top left corner of your screen.

Once you are in the Gear screen, simply open up an item gear slot with something that you don’t want anymore.

Once you choose, whether it is handwear, eyewear, or anything really, you will just need to scroll and change through the items on the one you want to get rid of and drop it in the chest.

Now once you’ve hovered over the gear item you want to drop, simply press the button with Destroy under it. If you are on the console it will be L3.

It is as simple as that!

We hope that this guide has helped you out on what you need to do in order to make this dropping of gear possible. Have fun doing it yourself!
