Side quests in Horizon Forbidden West are optional quests that you can do for extra XP and skill points. The Signal Spike is a side quest that can give you extra skill points. This guide will show you where you can find the source of the signal.
Search the Canyon for the Signal – Horizon Forbidden West
One of the objectives you will get in the Signal Spike quest is to search the canyon for the source of the signal. It is recommended that you are at least level 16 before you start this side quest. This quest also gives a lot of XP as a reward.
Start by going to the quest area on the map above.
Look to the west and use your Focus Mode to scan. You should be able to scan a Supply Crate here. The next thing you should do is to find an entrance to the cavern.
Drop down the ledge and scan again to find the rock barrier near the supply crate. Pry it open using your spear and dive under the water.
Follow the glowing lights to your left and you should be able to enter the wreckage leading to the Supply Crate.
Listen to the data in the crate to complete the quest.
