There’s always the threat of instantly dying in a game like Lethal Company. Comical or not, dying in this game is always an inconvenience players want to avoid. Monsters, traps, turrets, and even nature itself can turn on you in an instant.
With only a few days to collect the scrap you need; you don’t want anything getting in the way of your job security. Here’s a guide on how to avoid hazards and navigate the moons like a champ.
How To Avoid Hazards In Lethal Company
Using the Breaker Panel
The breaker panel is used to turn the power on or off within a specific area. In facilities without power, use these panels to gain visibility and open doors by tampering with them.
Flip the switch left to restore power, and right to turn the power off and potentially open locked doors.
Steam Leaks
Steam will obscure your vision, affect hearing, and deal damage if it bursts. You can pull valves shut by listening for louder steam sounds to locate the steam valve or look out for high-pressure geysers to find the location of the valve.
Landmines
Landmines appear as silver disks that will trigger when stepped on. These disks beep red at regular intervals and will make beeping noises to make their location known. Operators can disarm landmines by typing in their ID at the ship’s terminal.
Other ways to safely avoid getting blown up is by stepping on a landmine and then teleporting to the ship. Note that swapping the player with scrap will still trigger an explosion.
Turrets
Turrets appear as machine guns mounted on tripods typically hidden from sight. They can detect players within scanning range and fire a barrage of bullets in your direction.
Similar to landmines, an Operator can disable turrets for 5 seconds by typing the turret’s ID in the ship’s terminal.
You can interrupt a firing turret by hitting it; or try to duck or jump on top of it before it starts firing to avoid becoming a target.
Quicksand
Quicksand will appear as dark circles during Rainy weather. These will appear on moons like March or other moons where rain occurs.
Standing on quicksand for too long will deplete stamina, making it difficult to escape. You can get out of this situation by making sure you have enough stamina to jump and sprint out of the quicksand.
Lightning
Lightning appears during Stormy weather events. Lightning will strike the surface of a moon at regular intervals and can instantly kill a player.
Holding on to metallic loot will cause lightning to strike a player, so make sure to let go of metal loot when you hear sparks.
Letting go of the loot will cause lightning to strike it so make sure to keep a wide berth. The blast radius of a strike can strike a player back. Lightning strikes can also strike the ship and cause it to lose power.
There are plenty of other ways to die in this game so keep an eye out for the other dangers of the moon. Check out our guides on navigating the Weather and how to keep your team in top shape as the Operator. Happy scrapping!
