You can get another rune slot in Lords Of The Fallen to allow you to insert more runes. You might have been stumped because even though you’ve upgraded your equipment, you still don’t get your second slot. We’re going to show you what else you need to do and where to look for the item.

How To Unlock The 2nd Rune Slot
If you already have the Chipped Rune Tablet, you can skip this part.
First, travel to the Vestige of Doln. Go through the door just on the right of the vestige. Run through the ashen road of the district and turn left.
Then, go up the short stairs and go right and you should be in what looks like the market area.
Turn right on the first alley you see and then turn left at the terrace area. Jump through the broken fence down to the bridge under you.
Run through the bridge and then jump down to your right to the area with a big dead tree. You’ll see stairs built behind the house here to go to the back alley.
Run up this slope here and to the right to jump into this house as shown in the image. Go to the first floor to pick up the Chipped Rune Tablet.
With the Chipped Rune Tablet, now head back to the Blacksmith Gerlinde, located in the Skyrest Bridge – Vestige of Ethryg. Ask her to add the 2nd rune slot to your weapon.
Remember that it must have been upgraded to the necessary level before you can do that.
And that’s how you can unlock the 2nd rune slot in Lords of the Fallen. This automatically unlocks the 2nd rune slot for all your weapons that reach the necessary level. And yes, you need to go through the same process for the 3rd rune slot if the equipment has it!
