You have seen a bunch of epic videos on YouTube about this amazing game. Went inside and everything became much harder than expected. What are the best weapons that will make everything go easier? Let’s check them out.

Best Weapons for New Solo Players – Monster Hunter World

If you’re a fresh new beginner player, without a second of a doubt I can say go for the Lance. It is extremely safe to use as it offers range and a high chance of dodging enemy attacks. At the same time, it is very consistent. You’ll be able to learn your tactics fairly quickly and they work on most(if not all) of the enemies.

The second try that I would recommend is definitely using the Hammer. It is very easy to get into and it works just like you would imagine it – smack enemies for a very high damage amount. It has plenty of depth to be used in different kinds of scenarios.

Long Swords are very good for starters too. They are easy to learn, although they are simple to kill enemies with, with time you’ll have to learn how to use them more efficiently and better, so it has a longer learning curve than the other weapons above. It is fast enough to keep up with every monster and it will get the job done.

If you are feeling non-experimental and want to go full easy mode, just play Sword and Shield. You will have enough speed to dodge attacks and more than enough protection from your Shield. It might take longer to take out enemies maybe with just a One-Handed Sword, but if you give battles some time, you’ll eventually beat any battle without dying. It is really straightforward.

If you want to play fast, I’d say the Dual Blades are relatively beginner-friendly. Their mechanics are simple to master, and they provide great DPS once you get the hang of them.

It can come to personal preference, to be honest. Just give all the weapons a try in the Practice Area and go with whatever feels natural to you. No matter what you will find out in guides, just go with your favorite one as every weapon has its balance in Monster Hunter World. Good luck finding that perfect weapon of yours!
