Revengers Dream just got its main release. If you do not know about Revengers Dream, it is a fighting battleground game. You can play the game for free on Roblox. As you may have guessed from the name, it is inspired by the Tokyo Revengers anime. In this complete beginner’s guide, you will get familiar with everything you need to know to get started. Continue reading to learn more about it.
Complete Beginner’s Guide
There is a lot of stuff covered in this guide so refer to the table below if you are looking for something specific.
Clans
Similar to other fighting games on Roblox, there are clans in this game that give perks depending on clan rarity. Of course the more rarer the clan, the better perk it will give. You have to roll for clans which you can do from the main menu by clicking on Customize. You get 15 free spins when you start out new.
Following clan rarity levels exist in the game:
- Common (drop chance of 53.9%)
- Uncommon (drop chance of 30%)
- Rare (drop chance of 10%)
- Epic (drop chance of 5%)
- Legendary (drop chance of 1%)
- Mythic (drop chance of 0.1%)
NOTE: Common clans do not give any perks.
If you end up drawing a Rare or above clan, I suggest sticking with it until you are willing to spend a decent amount of Robux on spins.
Stats
You are given 350 Stat Points at the start of the game. You can spend those Stat Points in the 4 categories of your character which are discussed below.
Strike Power
- Increases the damage of your attacks.
- If you want to build your character around dealing high damage in combat then you can put most of your Stat Points into this.
Stamina
- Increases the max stamina capacity and stamina regen of your character.
- This will help you in using more skills in a battle.
Durability
- Increases the health and blocking power of your character.
- If you want to go after a Tank build then put most of your Stat Points here.
Speed
- Increases the walking and sprinting speed of your character.
- This will help you in moving around the map quickly. Can also be helpful in evading attacks in combat.
Checking Your Stats
To check your stats or to reset them, you need to go to the Gym. It is on the top floor of the building shown below. It may be a bit harder to spot during the night due to the darkness so you will have to look around a bit. You can find the Gym in the starting spawn area.
Go inside the Gym and walk the stairs to the top floor. Interact with the Stat Checker NPC to learn about your Stats. You need to pay 100 Yen to check your stats and resetting your Stats costs 500 Yen or 50 Robux.
You can also check your stats from the M menu but you need to pay 75 Robux to unlock that feature (you will find quite a lot of Robux transactions in the game).
Controls
You use W/A/S/D to walk around just like any other game. Q is for dashing and you can regenerate your dash faster by holding E. You can access your player menu by pressing M.
Your Fighting Style is placed at slot 1 and you can access your Phone from slot 2. You need to equip your Fighting Style by pressing 1 to go into combat mode. Left Mouse Click is for normal attacks and Right Mouse Click is for heavy attacks. You also have 3 Skills which are placed on your Z, X and C keys.
Getting Yen
Everything in the game requires Yen which is the in-game currency. You are given about 3000 Yen to get you started. You can acquire more Yen by completing quests.
Delinquent Mission
You get Yen from this quest. To find Delinquent Mission NPC, go to the Parking Area which you will find behind the area with a lot of houses. You have to beat up the NPCs which in return will give you Yen.
ATM
You can store or withdraw your Yen by interacting with the ATM machine which you will find scattered around the map. ATM machines also allow you to send Yen to another player.
Character Customization
The game allows you to customize your Hair Color, Skin Tone, Height and your character’s Face Features from the Customize menu which is located in the game’s main menu. However, you have to spin for it by using Customization Tokens. Luckily, you receive 20 free Customization Tokens when you start playing the game for the first time.
Hair
You can get a new Hair Style from the Barber Shop which is located in the main spawn area. Interact with the Barber Shop NPC to access the different Hair Styles available. You can purchase them using Yen.
Clothing
The game also allows you to change the Shirt and Pant of your character. You can get them from the Clothing Store by interacting with the Clothing Store NPC. Just like hair styles, you use Yen to purchase clothing as well.
Skills
Your character can equip 3 Skills (you get Hard Punch from the beginning). To get other Skills, you need to go to the Reroll Skills NPC which is found standing to the side of a building in the main spawn area. Just like most stuff in the game, you have spin to get skills by using Skill Reroll Tokens. You do get a few free Skill Reroll Tokens to get you started.
Reputation
The game also has a reputation system. You lose reputation from getting beaten to death in a fight and you gain reputation from beating other players. You will find the reputation scores of yourself and other players on the upper right side of your screen (you can press Tab to hide it if you want).
One of the things that I personally found annoying was that the players can attack you even when you are interacting with an NPC. There is no restriction on attacking anyone. This needs to be made better otherwise it is pretty frustrating getting attacked randomly (even inside a shop).
Gangs
If you want you can create a Gang in the game. To do so, open up the M menu and click on the 3rd icon. But you need a lot of Yen to create a gang (15,000 Yen to be specific). Your friends can share Yen with you through the ATM so that can help you in creating a gang.
