The new season-system implemented to Soul Knight Prequel aims to bring fresh content every season, which is what we’re going to talk about for 2024.
With the first season ending less than 2 weeks, we’re excited to see how the next season will be different from this one.
The Wintertide event comes with a range of cosmetic items, gem rewards, and much more. Players enjoyed maximizing out their gears and grinding the Valkyrie tower to the max. What does 2024 mean to these characters?
What To Expect For Next Season (2024)
No, your character won’t become obsolete! Soul Knight Prequel’s season-system migrates non-seasonal characters into permanent characters. You can still play them normally, but they won’t get to enjoy all of current season’s content.
ChillyRoom made a chart to explain the Season-System which we’ll share below for those of you that missed it.
To make the reading easier:
- Seasonal characters are characters you create during the ongoing season.
- Non-seasonal characters are permanent characters, characters made from the previous seasons. And the same applies to the gears and equipment.
Progression reset is an idea that a lot of games have been doing. In order to avoid overleveling and power-creeping issues while creating a fresh gameplay, ChillyRoom has also choses to apply a similar concept. However, players won’t lose their grind completely and can retain old characters.
For the TL;DR:
- Expect 4 new character slots
- Gears and items from any season WILL NOT disappear
- Gears and items from any season CAN shares the same Storage System
- Gears’ stats from previous seasons (permanent gears) ARE HALVED when worn by current season’s characters (unclear if vice versa applies)
- Apex Level DOES NOT carry over
- Enchantment stones (Lydite and Item Fragments) and Valkyrie Plumes will be “consolidated” (read below for more)
- Permanent characters can only temper permanent gears
- Seasonal characters can only temper seasonal gears
- No notes on Companions (assume they carry over)
According to the devs, the consolidation also applies to Apex Level and Card Collection. And as an example, the Valkyrie Plume turns into a Permanent Plume.
Referring to the seasonal system from in-game interface, the Fruitbasket, Card Collection, Valkyrie Plume, and Apex Level “are merged with [seasonal characters’] once the season ends.”
It’s unclear how they’re going to apply this to the Apex Level as well. But we have another season to worry about this!
And that’s everything on the next season in 2024 for Soul Knight Prequel. Are you excited?!
