Early game of Tribes of Midgard is horrendous in Saga mode. But in Survival mode, it can either be the easiest thing you have ever done in the game, or it feels like the gods are against you and are pretty much making your life a living hell.
With that said, the mid-game is a little easier to go through compared to the early game, because the early game requires a lot of setup and scavenging to get ready for the mid-game.
In this guide, weβre going to be showing you how to survive the mid-game.
Survival Mode Mid Game Guide β Tribes of Midgard Season 4
Dress For the Weather (And Get Better Armor)
Survival mode has multiple seasons that the game will cycle in. But basically, all you need to know is that there will be warm and cold weather.
With that, you will need to have two separate armor to match the weather. If you go out in winter armor during the heat, then you will get damaged. Same thing when going out with summer armor in winter. Remember to dress appropriately, that is basically what weβre saying.
Also, donβt forget to get better armor. As the seasons pass, the enemies will grow stronger. You will notice that they are hitting harder, which is not good if you want to survive.
Be on the Lookout for Shrines
These large stone monuments are important if you are exploring the map. These are basically your fast travel points.
When you start the game, you will have your village as the first travel point. If you journey out into the wild and have the need to back to the village, you will need to find a shrine and use them to travel back to the village.
With how important they are, be sure to find as many as possible.
Deal With Jotuns from Afar
Jotuns are large creatures that will cause a lot of damage if left unchecked. They randomly spawn in random places at random times of the day, which makes being ready for them almost impossible.
However, the community agrees that dealing with Jotuns needs to be a number one priority when they appear, and you should only do that from afar.
Jotuns are large, and their damage when getting hit is astronomical. The best way to deal with Jotuns is from afar. Of course, Iβm not saying that you shouldnβt bring melee fighters to this, but it would be unwise to only bring melee fighters.
