Deceive Inc. – Best Gadgets Tier List

The world is not enough!

When you’re playing Deceive Inc. you would normally pick up a gadget or two and be on your way, but sometimes you end picking the wrong one and will end up throwing the match by accident. This happens so don’t worry about it too much, some gadgets aren’t as equal as you think they might be after all. In this gadget tier list, you’ll know which toys are best to always have on your person, which ones are a decent second option, and which ones should be sent back to research and development for not having any good uses whatsoever.

Best Gadgets Tier List | Deceive Inc.

You can only pick two gadgets before deployment so choosing the best combination that will aide you in whatever playstyle you prefer should be your top priority. But hey, if what you’re using ends up in the lower vestige and it still works well for you then that’s still good, keep doing your own thing if it hasn’t stabbed you in the back yet!

S Tier

Spy Glass

By far the most useful gadget in the game, you can hack intel from far away and won’t look suspicious at all while doing it. Definitely better than exposing yourself as an agent while you’re trying to hack it at close range! You can just keep walking and behave like any other NPC while doing this to not give yourself away, it works on safes as well if you’re ever hurting for an upgrade.

Mimic

For all your prop hunting needs, an easy addition to S-Tier if you enjoy using deceit to your advantage! You can use the mimic to scan almost every other item that blends well with the room and hide from your enemies until the right time to strike presents itself. Just remember to stop moving when you’re in position, that kinda gives you away now doesn’t it?

A Tier

Shield Umbrella

Once the gloves slide out of your hands by accident you can use the shield umbrella you brought to block any projectiles coming your way at mach speed. You can use it in your hand or plop it down while doing an objective to enjoy a little bit of a shootout with the other agents down the corridor.

Trip Wire

Not all agents know how to walk through doorways properly, a common mistake that you can take full advantage of when using the Trip wire. You would be wise enough to put this behind a door so the players don’t see it from a mile away, seasoned players tend to look everywhere before they would even dare enter a room so make sure to put it on a blind spot while you’re looting a room.

Automated Turret

Considered as annoying by its victims, which is a good thing. That means it’s doing its job right! If you see this along the hallway and still fall victim to it then there’s a problem somewhere, and it’s not with the controller or mouse and keyboard. Pretty easy to spot and destroy as long as the angle you’re shooting from is weird enough to the point where it doesn’t see you.

If you happen to be fighting in a large room without any cover and some cretin decides to put this one down in front of you then you might as well head back into the lobby.

B Tier

The Jump Pad

Useful whenever you need to get yourself out of a questionable situation, you can activate it in your hand to get to a ledge you won’t be able to get to normally or leave it somewhere convenient if you’re the kind who likes to plan their escape beforehand.

The problem with this gadget is it’s quite situational, as in VERY situational. You won’t have too many opportunities to use this thing where it would make you feel bad for not bringing it along with you. That and seeing an agent jumping around the map with a rubber box kind of makes you look rather unprofessional, in short it gives you away rather easily.

C Tier

Goo Pod

Also called the Kid’s Choice Award machine as it produces green ooze that slows your opponent down, not to mention ruin the leather jacket they’re so fond of. It’s a good gadget to use when you’re in a tight corridor or small studio type apartment as having slow movement can easily mean death, but when was the last time you actually experienced a scenario like that?

You’re better off with something like the jump pad if you prefer a passive playstyle, the gadget can work wonders if you can follow up with it easily. But aside from annoying your enemies this really won’t do much on its own once you put it down.

Hack Trap

This device lets you mess with the devices you can interact with in a match and ruin somebody else’s day by blowing their cover. The problem lies with the fact that other agents already have tracking abilities built into their arsenal, thus eliminating the need of using the Hack Trap.

Signal Scrambler

The idea is to use this gadget to avoid or mess with the devices other agents have placed on the map, while the concept is good enough for it to be its own gadget, there’s also the other idea of just saving that gadget slot for something you can use in an immediate situation rather than just going out of your way to decommission somebody else’s turret.

Recon Drone

Tools that hinder your movement always seem to get a bad reputation, and for good reason! The recon drone isn’t used as much due to the fact that you’re just standing in a corner while trying to operate it. If another agent happens to walk by you and notice that you’re just standing still then you’re going to have a problem with this thing.

And that’s all the gadgets that can make or break your day! Put together good combinations like the turret and tripwires to turn someone into Swiss cheese or even use the slime to further ensnare your enemies and have them meet their maker!
