Lost Ark is an online MMORPG that features a lot of content for PvE, PvP, and general MMO enjoyers. In the game, you can select a class that speaks to you and use that class for the remainder of your time in the game. One of these classes that is highly recommended, especially for PvP enjoyers, is Soul-Fist. Soul-Fist is a melee class that is currently dominating the PvP scene, and if you want to want to experience the glory of a Grandmaster Soul-Fist, follow this guide and we’ll show you how.

Soul-Fist is a support class that deals a huge amount of damage. Some builds of Soul-Fists see the character supporting from the back while other teammates deal damage, then immediately shift into an offensive role to help teammates attack the enemy.

Using Soul-Fist for PvP requires extensive knowledge of other classes. When playing as Soul-Fist, you have to know the skills, cooldowns, and positions of your enemy when fighting in a PvP match. This ensures that you are able to analyze the battlefield before making any moves.

Soul-Fist is a mid to far-range fighter, so using that to your advantage when attacking should be kept in your mind at all times. This is also perfect for being a support, as your attacks aren’t close range all the time, you can offer support to your teammates while being behind them. However, bear in mind that in order to deal high damage, you have to get up close and personal.

Soul-Fist has a gauge called the Hype Gauge. No, it does not make her hyper and exciter. The Hype Gauge instead grants Soul-Fist buffs like damage, speed, energy, and recharge. The Hype Gauge can go up to 3 levels, each granting Soul-Fist more powerful buffs. However, the higher you go, the lesser the duration of Hype lasts and the cooldown lasts longer, so make sure to know when to use this exactly.

Ideally, you should be at Level 2 Hype throughout a match. This is the sweet spot as Soul-Fist, as Level 1 Hype is too weak and Level 3 Hype is too short and requires a long cooldown. Make sure to enter Level 2 Hype only at the tail end of Level 1, so you can take full advantage of the Level 1 Hype before utilizing Level 2.

How to Use Soul Fist in Lost Ark

A trick when using Hype is to use it when you’re getting surrounded or when an enemy is trying to stun lock or control you. Using Hype during this will grant you half a second of an i-frame (invincibility frame, for the uneducated). This trick certainly works wonders as it helps you survive longer in a match and can break out of enemies’ attacks to either get away or deal damage of your own.

With stats, we’ll want to have max Swiftness, 249 Domination in order to get higher chances of pushing the enemy back or stunning them. Either is required. And have 1 point dedicated to Crit, just to have a critical chance when attacking enemies.

Now we move on to the required skills when using Soul-Fist.

Flash Step

First is Flash Step. This is what you’ll be using mainly to dodge or create some distance for yourself from your opponents. This skill can be used up to 3 times before it needs to cool down. However, if you only use one or two, the cooldown is shorter.

Magnetic Palm

The second skill is Magnetic Palm. This skill can help you stun your enemy into place. Not only that, but this skill grants you a super armor-type attribute, in which getting attacked while performing this skill will not interrupt the attack. Bear in mind that this skill can be charged, and it is recommended to fully charge it every time you use this skill. However, you can simply activate the skill and not charge it to outplay your opponents.

Deadly Fingers

Deadly Fingers is a skill that deals massive damage. Using this skill can lock an opponent in place, making this skill valuable to your skillset. You can even use this skill after a knock up skill, keeping the enemy in the air.

Force Orb

Force Orb is a long-range, wide-attack skill. This is an example of a knock up skill, and can lead to Deadly Fingers for a combo attack. This skill is primarily used to get enemies away from you so you can create distance between yourself or for your teammates.

Lightning Palm

Lightning Palm is a fast skill that can catch your enemies off guard. This skill requires timing and the perfect opportunity to be used, for this skill can stun or freeze an opponent for one second. However, the range is very small, so that’s why timing and opportunity are important to use this. But if done right, it is very useful.

Energy Release

Energy Release is an important buff ability that you must have when playing PvP. Using Energy Release will grant you and your team increased damage and defense. The only downside for this skill is that the cooldown is long, so Soul-Fist must be used at the right opportunities.

Heavenly Squash

Heavenly Squash is your biggest damage skill. This is used mostly in ending combos, and has a damage increase for enemies who are controlled in the air or on the ground. You can use this skill when your teammates’ combos end as well, as the damage buff still works regardless if you initiated the combo or control.

Tempest Blast

Lastly is Tempest Blast, which is the most important. This will help you save your teammates who are in need of help, but also used to start combos. Using this skill is risky though, as this skill provides no armor and the cooldown is long.

How to Use Soul-Fist Skills in Lost Ark

To utilize these skills to the best to your abilities is by using them in combos. A great combo for beginners to use is by starting off with a Tempest Blast to stun your enemy. Close the gap by using Flash Step and immediately use Force Orb and Heavenly Squash.

Ideally, you should save the last Flash Step as a retreat, so only use 2 Flash Steps if you can. However, if you’re out of Flash Steps, you can still get away as you have a second to retreat from the opponent, as the Heavenly Squash will push them back far enough.

There is a second combo you can do, but is advised to do it when far from other enemies. It starts the same with Tempest Blast and Flash Step to close the gap. Use Force Orb, but instead of going to Heavenly Squash, you use Deadly Fingers first, then end with Heavenly Squash.

This combo is only good when your opponents’ teammates are far from them. Using this combo when near the other opponents will leave you open to attack for a second, which is enough for them to attack you and cancel the combo.

Soul-Fist in Team Deathmatch is a great class to use once you get the hang of it, but Soul-Fist in Team Elimination is a different story. You are alone in this one because this is 1v1 PvP game mode.

Tips to playing in Team Elimination is to basically bait out your opponent’s attacks, and make them attack first in order to get an advantage. Force them to use their skill to leave them open before using your own.

Skills to Use in Team Elimination

In Team Elimination, you will need to change some of your skills to have the best chances of winning a match. First up is Crippling Barrier. This locks the opponents caught in the area of effect. At the end of the skill, it is launched up into the air.

There are major downsides to the skill. This doesn’t do as much damage compared to other skills and consumes a large amount of mana. While the skill offers armor defense and can be used as a protective skill, don’t rely on this too much.

Next skill is Bolting Crash. This skill is great and can catch enemies by surprise. This skill is fast and can knock up enemies in the air and is a great start to a combo. However, it has no armor, so you have to know when to use this skill correctly. Otherwise, a misuse will get you locked under an enemy’s combo.

Pulverizing Palm is a great defense skill, as it can interrupt an enemy’s attack long enough for you to escape. This skill can be used to chase down opponents who are trying to escape. Sort of like an offensive Flash Step.
