Old School Runescape: Wintertodt Guide

Old School Runescape is one of those games that will stand the test of time. It’s still standing strong after all these years in a genre that many has fallen. It may not have the numbers like Final Fantasy 14 or World of Warcraft but it has a steady and strong playerbase. There are people out there that go back to the game just to make new characters and level up their skills over again, and that’s because leveling is the main fun of the game for most players. In this guide we’ll show you how to do Wintertodt, a skill boss to help you in leveling your skills!

Wintertodt Guide In Old School Runescape

To start the Wintertodt you’ll need Level 50 in Firemaking and having previously visited Great Kourend. You can easily start Wintertody by using the Game’s necklace which you can buy off in the Grand Exchange. Once you go there you’ll need to wear warm clothes so that you don’t get extra damage from the event.

Here are some examples of warm clothes:

Santa Outfit
Bunny Outfit
Clue Hunter Outfit
Hunter Gear
Pyromancer Outfit
Fire Tiara
etc.

These are the items that you need to bring:

Axe
Tinderbox
Hammer
Knife
Various food like Jugs of Wine or Cakes.

To start the event you’ll need to light the Brazier. Once it’s lit the event begins and you’ll then need to cut the Bruma Roots around the arena and feed the Brazier logs. You can also combine the knife and the logs to make tinder which you can also feed to the brazier.

The event has many things that can happen that you need to keep an eye out for. If the Pyromancer needs healing you’ll need to get an “Unfinished Rejuvenation Potion” and get a “Bruma Herb” from the sprouting roots in the arena and mix them to make a Rejuvenation Potion.

The Brazier can also break in the event so you’ll need to repair it. Use your hammer to repair the braziers in the arena.
