As you progress and level your character up in V Rising, you will encounter a number of bosses depending on your level. Up to level 60, you will unlock Domina – The Blade Dancer Boss. Domina is a V Blood Carrier Boss, on defeating her you will unlock some amazing spells.
This Boss has multiple moves that you should always watch out for. In this guide, we will give you some detailed information on the items that are useful for your fight, knowledge about the boss patterns and some tips for you to defeat her.
Weapon & Build Recommendation
The boss has multiple melee attacks and strong close range AoE attacks, meaning for your weapon, you want weapons that can attack from afar, allowing you to dodge those attacks while dealing damage. In this case, the Pistols are a good option for you to choose.
For your Spells, consider abilities that help you protect yourself or give you extra mobility for dodging:
The Veil of Illusion allows you to dash towards input direction and elude nearby enemies for 2.2 seconds, enhancing your next primary attack with 25% bonus damage.
Another spell you can consider getting is the Spectral Wolf, this spell allows you to release a Spectral Wolf at your enemy, dealing damage to the first enemy hit and bouncing to nearby targets, inflicting Weaken and grants a stack of Phantasm.
What makes this ability useful is that you can consume Weaken to spawn a wisp healing yourself or your ally for 30% of your spell power. Engaging in long fights with this boss requires you to have a way for you to sustain yourself, this is when the ability comes in handy.
Another good option is the Chaos Volley, which allows you to deal extra damage. The boss usually closes up on you so you can take advantage of the short distance and land your Chaos Volleys without worrying about them missing.
Spectral Guardian is a decent shielding ability that shields you for 125% of your spell power, which is a lot compared to the previous healing ability we introduced you to. With more shields means more survivability!
Potions Recommendation
Brew of Ferocity: A brew that increases physical power by 4 for 1200 seconds. With extra physical power, you can deal more damage in fights with your weapon.
Enchanted Brew: This is a potion that increases spell power by 4 for 1200 seconds. Remember the Spectral Wolf Ability that we introduced you to earlier? The healing from it scales based on your spell power, this means you can sustain yourself longer in fights.
Blood Rose Potion: A potion that recovers 5,5% of your maximum health every 1 second for 15 seconds. The healing effect is limited when in combat and breaks upon taking damage. This is a potion that is good for healing if your healing spells or shielding spells are on cooldown.
Vermin Salve: This is a consumable that recovers 2,5% of your maximum health every 1,5 seconds for 15 seconds. The healing effect is limited when in combat and breaks upon taking damage. If you think the other potions are too expensive for you, you can try this cheaper potion that gives less effect, but still is enough for you to fight the boss.

Domina the Blade Dancer Boss Fight Guide
Now that you found the Boss, let’s take a look at some of her moves. The whip attack is one of the abilities that she cast the most often. During this attack, she will charge for a short duration then whipping towards you in a straight line. To dodge this attack, keep maintaining an appropriate distance to the boss and moving in circles.
Another attack that she performs is the jump attack. This is when the Boss jumps into the air and lands towards you, dealing damage on impact. This requires you to always pay attention to where she lands and dodge. You can time your dodge or dash ability correctly to avoid it. When your primary attack is on cooldown and the boss uses frequent jump attacks on you to close the distance. It is time for you to use your pistols to deal lots of damage.
After a while, you will see that she will charge herself with electricity and increase her power. This is when she performs two new attacks. One of them is the electrical spinning attack that shoots electric balls at you, dealing damage on contact. It is recommended for you to stop attacking and maintain a far distance to easily dodge these missiles.
Another attack is the enhanced version of the whip attack we introduced you to earlier. After landing the whip attack, she will pull you towards her, spawning a circle that explodes after a short duration. If you get unlucky and are pulled by the boss, move as fast as you can out of the circle to avoid receiving extra damage.
On defeating the boss, come to her body and obtain your new unlocked spells, which will aid you in your V Rising experience. Next time when you decide to hunt down the boss, take a look at this guide and you will be able to dodge her every single attack and properly do damage to her at the right times!
