Black Grimoire: Odyssey is a dream for Black Clover fans as they get to experience their favorite anime in Roblox. The game features a variety of content that is inspired by the anime. This includes a variety of Spells which form the backbone of every build in the game.
In this guide, we will put Spells into a Tier List where Master Spells – S Tier is the highest and Asta Level Magic – D Tier is the lowest. This tier list will help guide you as to what spells you should look out for when you are grinding out Dungeons in the game. Let’s dive in.
Best Spell Tier List

This tier list continues with a detailed section covering all spells from S tier to D tier below!
Master Spells – S Tier
Terra Fist
This Spell allows you to obtain fists of rock that provide a high-level damage. This Spell also gives you an AoE Smash Ability which is incredibly useful in Dungeons, especially when surrounded by enemies.
There are not many AoE Spells in the game that are able to do the damage that Terra Fist can, so it easily falls in the S Tier Rank.
Blink
This Spell allows you to turn invisible by removing the target from you. It also allows you to dash through enemies and even above them. It activates instantly and grants you invisibility for 2 seconds meaning that they can’t see you and may even lose interest in you.
You can use this ability to bait them into areas allowing you to strategically control them. If you are playing with friends, you can even split them using Blink allowing both of you to take them out on much even terms. As a result, it is incredibly powerful and falls in the S Tier.
Breeze Rush
This Spell provides you and your allies with an acceleration boost, allowing you to move with incredible speed for 15 seconds. This Spell has barely any mana cost with a low cooldown making it incredibly overpowered.
Mobility is incredibly useful in Black Grimoire: Odyssey and you can use this ability to run around the map with ease. It can be used to avoid getting hit and even cause enemies to lose aggression, so you can use it to bait enemies. As a result, this Spell can transform you into an S Tier player.

Luminous Heal
This Spell allows you to heal yourself and your teammates. It is incredibly useful for Support Mages as they can make themselves untouchable, ensuring that they can keep their teammates and Tanks alive. This alone makes it worthy of being ranked in the S Tier.
A Tier Spells
Fire Bat
This Spell allows you to summon a bat covered in flames with which you can fire burning projectiles. Additionally, it also deals fire damage to any enemies it hits. This makes it an incredibly useful Spell that basically allows you to do a sort of Melee damage by using Magic.
The reason why this ability does not fall in the S Tier is that it has a limited range. This means that you cannot use this Spell if they are in your face.
As a result, you would have to use Mobility spells to create distance and be able to use it. Nonetheless, it works amazing with Mobility Spells and deserves A Tier.
Inferno Jet
This Spell triggers a fiery explosion, which sends you flying ahead while inflicting fire damage on enemies. It is incredibly useful when you are dealing with huge crowds of enemies in a Dungeon.
However, it can become a problem if you end up getting stuck or get glitched into the crowd. This practically means that you’re almost guaranteed to lose your life, which can be a problem in higher levels. As a result, it falls just short and ends up in the A Tier.
Roll
This Spell allows you to perform a Roll that can be used to Dodge and cover distance. It is incredibly underrated since it has a decent range and also has a very small cooldown.
Additionally, it doesn’t use mana which is incredibly useful. These characteristics are especially notable if it’s a high Tier Roll Spell.
As a result, Roll provides you with an incredible amount of Mobility for low mana cost. You can even pair it with Terra Fists to get an edge and even use this ability to roll into Bombers. Bombers can become an issue in later Dungeons so this ability can help a lot. As a result, Roll falls in the A tier.
Rock Zone
This Spell grants you a health boost while forming a protective barrier around you. As a result, you take less damage. This Spell is incredibly useful for Tank builds as it allows them to preserve their already high health.
They are also useful for Mages as they can stack Mana Skin and Rock Zone to provide them with protection alongside damage spells like Dark Cloak or Terra Fists. As a result, this Spell falls into the A Tier.
B Tier Spells
Radiant Blessing
This Spell allows you to heal yourself and gives you a heal buff. However, this Spell doesn’t really do anything that Rock Zone does not do better. It can be useful if you are on the frontlines or a Tank, as it provides decent healing.
But usually, you’ll only have it equipped if it’s the only healing Spell you have. Since it is an okay Spell, it falls right in the middle which is the B Tier.
C Tier Spells
Dark Cloak
This Spell allows you to conjure a dark-infused sword which can be used to damage enemies with Magic. It also scales with Magic mastery and 75% Sword Damage. However, there are not enough Dark magic related items in the game that can justify using this Spell.
Furthermore, this ability is incredibly slow, and it is much better to just use Terra Fist instead of it. As a result, it falls in the C Tier.
Asta Level Magic – D Tier
Gale Swirl
This Spell creates a Hurricane that can be used to damage groups of enemies and knock them by sending them into the air. However, it barely has an AoE damage and knocks enemies down for only a little bit.
The knock effect is even better on certain weapons like Hob’s Blade which does that on the fourth M1 without any mana cost. It also has the same AoE of the fourth M1 of an Arabic Sword without any mana cost. So, this Spell is a waste of mana and falls into the D Tier.
Trap Hole
This Spell summons a magical circle which traps only one enemy in the ground. This is not an AoE Spell meaning you are using a lot of mana to trap only one enemy. This is not worth the hassle and so Trap Hole also falls in the D Tier.
Trap Bomb
This Spell summons a magical circle which can explode, damaging an enemy. There is a misconception among players that this is an AoE Spell due to its description but that’s not the case. It damages only one unit. It costs a lot of mana and allows you to kill maybe only one enemy.
As a result, it is a waste of mana and time, making it into the D Tier.
