In Dragon Soul, one of the most essential aspects is leveling up. Similar to most RPG’s, it’s a requirement if you want to progress into the game’s world, story and defeat stronger foes. Now, let’s be real, leveling up is straight-forward. Explore, do quests, defeat mobs, repeat.
However, sometimes, it’s possible to get stuck. That’s why I’ve prepared a strategy which will let you reach Max level much faster and easier. How exactly do you do that? Let’s find out!
Max Level Guide
When it comes to leveling up in Dragon Soul, you can simply reach Max level by doing every quest you stumble upon.
However, I highly suggest that you don’t do this, as you might end up spending too much time on unnecessary and inefficient quests. That’s why, in this guide, I’ll show you which quests to do and skip, as well as the optional ones, from Level 0 to Max.
Level 0-80
When you reach Level 5, do the Island Warrior Quest located in the Starting Area up until Level 7. Here, you’ll have to beat the Thief Boss in a tent just behind the NPC.
Afterwards, make your way to the South Jungle and do the Florida Man Quest. For this one, you’ll have to beat at least 4 Beat Minions located just around the area.
Once that’s done, look around you for the Maximum Quest nearby. Now, you’ll have to defeat the Bear King which spawns just beside you.
Up next, continue going near the cliff for the Arlo Quest, where you must defeat 4 Aliens just nearby the area with the crashed ship and the water.
Now, from this point, you’ll have enough money to buy from Dr. Kaito’s Shop (Lvl 20). However, you must save for the SSJ. So, don’t buy anything yet.
Nearby, you’ll see Dr. Paul Quest where you’ll have to beat 4 Rogue Experiments just around the area.
However, it can be pretty hard to do early. So, if you’re having difficulties completing the quest, I recommend that you level up first from Arlo Quest again until you’re strong enough.
Now, from this point, you may do all the Quests that you come across the area until you hit Level 58, and just grind from other quests if you find it hard to finish one.
Afterwards, you may advance to the other areas of the game. You’ll then come across the Carter Quest. I recommend that you skip this one as it’s hard, slow and far.
Instead, make your way to the Announcer Quest, which is located just around the area. Now, this quest is a must-take, as it’s super worth it.
You’ll have to take down Yam and Spopov. They’re nearby, fast to kill and rewarding. I recommend that you do spam this quest until you have enough to acquire SSJ.
Once you have SSJ, make your way to the Farmer Boss Fight, which spawns every 3 minutes. This is where you’ll be able to get skills.
Keep rotating these quests until you reach Level 80. Once that’s done, progress to the other areas of the game.
Level 80-660
You’ll then come across the Tim Apple Quest which you should do. For this one, you must defeat 8 mobsters located nearby.
After that, scan the area and you’ll spot the Wari Quest. Now, skip this one as it’s too slow to do.
Instead, make your way across the bridge in the area and do the Pierre Quest, where you’ll be tasked to take down 8 Elite Aliens. Spam this one up until Level 175.
Then, make your way to the Villager Quest, which is a pretty good one as well. You’ll simply have to beat 5 Funny Guys around the area for this one.
Now, if you are going to kill them with Ki, put all of your stats into Ki Power. Before you proceed, you must be at least Level 270.
Next up, make your way to the Central Plains Town, and do the Badman Quest, where you’ll have to Defeat 6 Saibablues. This one is pretty far, but it’s rewarding. Simply follow the indicator to get to the locations of the mobs.
Near the area of the Saibablues, you’ll come across the Prezo Quest, which you must skip. Now, proceed to the Great Plains and you’ll see the Veggie Quest (Level 380), though it’s pretty slow to do so do at your own discretion.
I suggest re-doing the Badman Quest to level up. Once you’re Level 390, go to the Shocked Girl Quest and defeat 8 Postboy Namekians.
Around the area, you’ll also see the Martial Artist Quest, which you must skip as well, as it’s too hard and slow to do.
Up next, go through the Ocean and make your way to Turtle Island. Now for this location, the best quest that you can do is the Mysterious Man Quest.
For this one, you’ll have to defeat 8 Elite Saiyans that spawn just nearby. Keep spamming this one and skip the City as the quests in here are not worth it.

Level 660-1750
Once you’re Level 660. Progress into the game and make your way to the Yamcha Quest, where you must defeat 5 Desert Bandits.
Around the area, there’s also a Keegan Quest that you can do, though it’s a slow one. You’ll have to beat 6 Ghosts just the NPC.
Afterwards, make your way to the big structure and you’ll come across the Rafan Quest, which you must skip, as it’s super hard
Progress into the game and you’ll see the Rowan Quest, which you must skip as well.
Now, if you think your level is high enough, you may then make your way to the Grand Patrol Outpost.
In this island, you can pretty much do everything normally, as the quests in here are all good. However, if you get stuck, go back to the previous area, and spam the recommended quests.
Progress into the game and you’ll come across the Level 2080 Island, which you must skip.
Once you’ve reached a good level, play through the game and you’ll come across the Takai Quest, which you must do. For this one, you’ll have to defeat 6 Criminals just nearby.
Then, do the Tina Quest. Here, you’ll have to beat 5 Rad City Grunts. I recommend doing this twice, instead of doing the Escar Quest nearby.
Now, you must have Buu Scream by now (Level 1049). If you do have it, make your way to the Zuro Quest. Use your Buu Scream to beat all 5 Namekian Mercenaries.
Afterwards, make your way to the Mako Quest. For this one, you’ll have to use Supernova (Level 1140) to defeat 5 General Saibamans.
Make your way up into the tall building in the island, where you’ll come across the Blaze Quest (Level 1200), which is the best one as it’s exploitable.
For this one, make your way under the platform (below Blaze) and activate the Quest. There, the mobs won’t be able to damage you.
It’s very rewarding as there are a lot of enemies for this one, from Saiyan Soldies, Namekian Mercenaries and General Saibamans.
After that, make your way to the Sato Quest, which gives you a lot of EXP though you can only do it once.
For this one, you’ll have to rescue 10 Trapped Workers, which can be easily done by damaging the rocks nearby.
Level 1750-Max
Now, farm the Level 1100 Quest until Level 1750. Then, you may progress into the game and make your way to the Hirosaki Quest. For this one, you’ll have to defeat 6 Zoonbies.
Then, continue going through the game and you’ll come across the Takeo Quest (1760). You’ll have to beat the Skull Android Boss. I recommend that you do this quest every 5 minutes.
Progress into the game, and you’ll see the Yokozo Quest, you’ll want to skip this one. Keep farming other quests until you reach at least Level 1880.
Then, make your way to the Kuriza Quest, where you’ll have to beat 5 Cursed Grand Patrol Officers. As for the Yoko Quest nearby, you can do it though it’s pretty slow.
At Level 1955, continue and go to the Dr. Flappe Quest. For this one, you must defeat 8 Winter Zombies. Then, do the Level 1980 Takai Quest, which requires you to beat 5 Escaped Criminals.
Next up, you’ll want to do the Wola Quest on Level 1990 every 5 minutes. For this one, you’ll have to defeat the Kataba Boss.
Now, nearby, you’ll see a Miko Quest, I recommend that you skip this one, as it’s not worth the time. Keep on grinding other quests until you reach Level 2050.
Once you’ve reached that, make your way to the Dr. Paul Quest. Here, you must defeat 5 Frozen Rogue Experiments.
You’ve come a long way. Finally, to reach Max Level, you must go to the Onyx Quest. For this one, you’ll have to beat 8 Keroken Ghosts.
Now, you’ll have to keep on spamming the Onyx Quest until you reach Max Level as it’s the most efficient and easiest way to do it.
