Sharpening your sword in Anime Tales increases the multiplier of your sword. And each weapon in the game has a multiplier that increases the EXP gain of the weapon you’re using. This is great if you would like to maximize your weapon levelling!

Once you talk to the Lost Swordsman, he will call you names and ask you to state your business. Choose the dialog option that says “I want to sharpen my weapon.” He’ll ask which weapon you would like sharpened next. After his job is done he will ask you to leave him alone.
