Elden Ring is filled with bosses and enemies that will surely make your blood pumping with adrenaline. If you do not have a good enough weapon, you may face some difficulties. This guide will show you how you can defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss.
Mad Pumpkin Head Solo – Elden Ring
The Mad Pumpkin Head is one of the optional bosses you can encounter in the Elden Ring. While defeating this boss is not necessary, defeating the Mad Pumpkin Head can unlock a room where you will meet Sorceress Sellen.
Sorceress Sellen is a character that can teach you sorcery spells early on in the game.
Go to the waypoint ruins and climb down the stairs to find the Mad Pumpkin Head. The Mad Pumpkin Head uses a heavy weapon and his head to slam the ground.
What you want to do is dodge to your sides when he performs the head attack and the flail attack. Once you dodge to the side, you will have a small window to get some attacks in.
Note that when Mad Pumpkin Head does the head attack, there is a few seconds of delay until the next attack comes in. If you damage him enough, he may do the head attack twice, so watch out for that.
Simply keep dodging to the side and get attacks in during his attack and delay animation and you should be able to defeat him quickly.
Once you are done defeating him, you can access the room with Sorceress Sellen inside.
