Are you looking for a Roblox game that you can really sink your teeth into? Do you want a Roblox experience where you can battle intense monsters, gather loot and look like a badass while doing so? Then, the best thing to do is to start playing Sword Burst 3 ASAP. In fact, I’m going to do you one better and give you this Complete Katana Guide so you can get started!
Complete Katana Guide
Do you want to be a Katana Main in Sword Burst 3? Honestly, I don’t blame you. You end up looking so cool with a Katana that most players will end up using this weapon at one point or another. It’s just that cool of a weapon.
Thankfully, it’s a pretty fantastic weapon to use in this game too. You’re in for a wild ride if you decide to go for the Katana!
What’s the Level Requirement to use the Katana in Sword Burst 3?
The Level Requirement for the Katana in the game is Level 23, which isn’t too bad right? You don’t have to work too hard to get to such a level. Weapons such as the Scythe in my Complete Guide requires you to be around level 40 before you can use such a weapon.
That said, there are many different requirements, so while you might have to be Level 23 in order to use your first Katana, the other weapons you receive will have higher level requirements. That means you’re going to have to keep getting stronger if you intend to survive what Sword Burst 3 has to offer!
If you’re ready to keep going, let’s have a look at everything you need to accomplish in order to be the best possible Katana Main in this game.
SIDE NOTE: We also have a complete beginner’s guide for Sword Burst 3! Make sure to check it out.
So, how do I get my hands on a Katana?
Typically, players will come across the Katana in Floor 2. This is usually when players start messing around with the Katana, so they can buy it from the shop there. However, there is a certain type of mob in Floor 1 that will drop your very first Katana.
Steel Katana
That mob would be the Basilisk. Keep in mind that the Basilisk — aside from being a decently tough opponent — only has a small chance of dropping the weapon you want. However, if you keep at it, he’ll eventually drop this:
Pretty cool, right? Keep in mind that the Steel Katana is also the weapon you can purchase in Floor 2.
Master Katana
The next Katana you can get is the Master Katana, which is also available at the store:
This is a pretty cool Katana as well. Funny enough, when you step out of the shop, you’re going to see what looks to be a set of ruins to the side. I have my red string so you don’t get lost.
Scorched Katana
Right behind this ruin is a hidden, free Katana, called the Scorched Katana.
Now that we’ve got our hands on that Katana, let me lead you to the next one. So, in Floor 2, when you’ve stepped onto the path moving forward through the level, keep your eyes peeled. You’ll come across what looks to be a camp right here:
Stinger
Once you’ve reached that camp, just go a little further behind it, and you’ll find a chest hanging around on top of a wall:
Within this chest, you will find yet another awesome weapon you can use in your journey, called the Stinger. These are all pretty incredible (and free) Katanas that will help ensure your enemies don’t survive your attacks.
A bonus Katana for you (Jade Blade)
Keep in mind that there will be more Katanas down the road, but I’ve given you a rundown of what you can expect. As you progress through Floor 2 there will be shops that offer higher leveled Katanas to ensure that you make good progress through the game.
Oh, by the way, I’ll let you in on a little secret. Do you want to get your hands on a more powerful Katana? Well then, all you have to do is head to the Lava Cave Dungeon of Floor 2, and fight these guys:
Remember that this is a rare drop. Fight them enough times and they’ll drop this beauty:
As you can see, the Jade Blade has a minimum level requirement of 43. It’s a pretty steep level requirement, but it’s one you shuold be close to, since those Fire Imps are at 40! Have you had your fill with all of these crazy weapons the game has to offer? Let’s head on down to the next section of our guide!
What about the skills I can use with my Katana?
It’s time to get acquainted with the many skills of the Katana. This list is as follows:
Level 1
- HP Regen – This one is pretty straightforward, as it’s a skill that helps you regenerate HP, which is what you need to use your skills. As far as Priority Skills go, this is a must-have for survival’s sake.
- Whirlwind – A decently strong skill that costs 35 SP, you spin in a circle and you deal 3 hits at 160% damage each. It can be a good part of your combo if you like Whirlwind, but it can be replaced by other skills.
Level 5
- Sprint/Dash – This is yet another straightforward skill, as it allows you to move quicker. It’s a pretty obvious skill so I won’t go into too much detail.
Level 10
- Flurry – This should definitely be a part of your Priority Skills list. The Flurry is a skill where you perform 4 rapid slashes in a row, dealing 170% damage each shot. It’s excellent because the SP cost is decent at 30. It goes extremely well with other skills.
- Fierce Strike – An extremely powerful skill, but unfortunately the SP cost at 45 is a little steep. Still though, this is one of the premier skills for the Longsword, and the Katana can use it as well. Deliver a 900% damage dealing blow to your opponent!
Level 20
- Katana Lunge – This one is a cheap 20 SP cost skill that’s really cool to use. The reason why this skill is so useful is because Katana Lunge allows you to move incredible fast, all the while dealing 240% damage to all enemies in your path. It’s a damage and movement skill all at once.
Level 30
- Katana Rush – This is a very cool-looking move that unfortunately is not that useful, especially in the early levels. You deal 170% damage in a zig zag attack. The steep SP cost at 40 means you can’t combo with this skill early on, and the fact that you get it at 20 means you’ll probably try to use it as much as possible. In my opinion it’s not worth getting just yet. Maybe level it up once and save for the next skill.
Level 35
- Slashing Flurry – Now this is where it’s at. This is a skill where you unleash a flurry of attacks in front of you, which means you hit enemies close together. You’ll deal 600% damage over 2.5 seconds with this attack to all enemies within effective range. It is the premier skill of the Katana, and is a must for anyone looking to optimize the weapon.
My 100% patented Skill Combo
As far as my personal Priority Skill list is concerned, all you have to do is follow this easy flow chart:
(From Range) Katana Lunge > Slashing Flurry > Flurry > Regular Attacks > REPEAT (from Slashing Flurry)
If you’re having trouble with the opponent, you can also make space and try to dodge attacks with Katana Lunge. This combo is rather overpowered, and is something you can use without worrying too much about your SP, though of course you can still go for Weapon Enchantments that offer SP Regen.
What is there to know about weapon enchantments?
Overall, I would say it’s quite simple. Aside from being able to upgrade your weapons (which have an easy-to-learn numbered system), you can also go for Weapon Enchantments. These Enchamtnents can boots Damage, Crit, SP Regen, and more.
One of the most important things to remember is that you want to keep your combo going as quickly as possible. That means making it so that you can use the skill the moment its cooldown finishes. While there are many different useful Enchantments, the best thing to count on is SP Regen, as it lets you use your skills right away.
That’s it! Hopefully you learned a thing or two about the Katana in Sword Burst 3. You also don’t have to buy it like you would the Dual Wielding stance, though I have a Complete Guide on Dual Wielding as well!
