For me, Age of History II and Victoria II hold a special place in my heart, so I had to include those as well, even though they’re pretty old at this point. But in my opinion, they’re the pinnacle of what a political sim could be.
On the other hand though, as far as the most detailed and true to life modern political sim, you can’t do any better than Democracy 4. It gives you a great feel of how modern politics go.
