There are lots of things you can do in Mountfall, but you should first start from somewhere. The game might be confusing for beginner players as there are no actual quests that are given to you when you start the game. So, you are going to need to find the locations and quests on your own. But no need to worry about it, in this Mountfall Beginner’s Guide, we will give you some information that every starter should know.
Beginner’s Guide
Let’s talk about some of the basic things you can do when you first start the game. You can also check out the table of contents below to navigate through the guide easier.
Supplying Quest
This is one of the first quests you can complete when you initially start the game, and finishing it will reward you with a reasonable amount of silver and insight to help you get started. To get the quest, you should first find the NPC.
From the point you spawned, go to the left and you will come to a bridge. Continue following the bridge until you reach the end, then turn right.
You will find yourself on another bridge, at the end of that one turn right once more and you will see a waterfall in the distance. Keep going in its direction.
Eventually, you will get closer to the waterfall and you will see the NPC Lance, sitting in front of a tree. Talk to him and get the delivery quest.
After that, you will continue your way to the waterfall.
When you finally reach the waterfall, you will see that there is a rope right next to it. Climb it to get to the top.
When you reach the top, keep going to your left and then get inside the water.
Get to the land we have shown in the picture above. Then, go forward and you will see some ruins on your way.
Simply get past them and then you can see the gates of the town you need to go to in the distance.
When you get to the town, turn right and you will see the NPC you are looking for right there.
Talk to him to end the quest and get insight and silver in return. Your total points are visible on the bottom right of your screen. Now, you can redo this mission as much as you want until you reach the amount you are trying to achieve. Just reset your character to go back to where you spawned before, and do everything again. Earning money will help you get some starter weapons for yourself.
How to Get Weapons
To get weapons, you should go to Frostguard. Which is the main island right in front of the space you spawn when you first enter the game. Remember the bridge you just took to find the location of the quest NPC? The location to buy weapons is right in front of that bridge.
Here is a price list of basic weapons you can get:
- Katana: 65 Silver.
- Spear: 25 Silver.
- Long Sword: 65 Silver.
- Starter Armor: 20 Silver.
How to Find the Secret Armor
There are some armors you can buy in the place you buy weapons. But, there is also better armor hidden in the map.
Take the bridge right next to the weapon location and go all the way. You will find yourself on a round platform. Take a look at the picture below and jump down right there. Stay close to the wall to not fall down and not take any fall damage.
Then, you will see the hidden armor. This one is a pretty good starter armor and it is better than the other ones. So you might give it a chance.
How to Find Rot Toad
To gain some money in the game, you will need to find some monsters and slash them for monster parts. After that, you can sell them to get some Zefri (silver). The easiest monsters to locate are the toads. To find their location, go to the bridge next to the weapon merchant once more and this time head to the right.
Go forward and pass the second bridge. At the end of it, you will come to a cliff.
You are going to jump down to find the toads.
Once you find them, simply beat them to get Rotted Eye. Doing this could also be good practice for getting used to the game.
How to Sell Monster Parts
Go back to Frostguard and get down using the rope from the point we have shown in the image below.
You will find a hidden place there. Get inside and go to your right.
There, you are going to see a guy sitting on the floor named Remmy. Talk to him to sell your monster parts.
How to get an Incantation
Incantions are different abilities that you can use in fighting. Getting one is pretty easy, you will only need to talk with Incantion Merchant and give 25 insights to roll an Incantion.
To find the Merchant’s location, take the bridge on the right of the weapon location and you will see a stone house at the end of the bridge.
There you will find the Incantation Merchant. Note that you can only have one incantation at a time.
How to Check Your Stats
You can check your armor, weapon, incantation, race, health, and kills very easily by going to the blue flame right in front of the Weapon Merchant location.
Additionally, you can also rest there if you got some damage and need to heal yourself.
