Prairie Dog Location – Horizon Forbidden West
The Prairie Dog is one of the more rare animals in the Horizon Forbidden West. You would not normally find them in the wild, but there is a specific location you can take a look at to hunt them.
To start, go to the northwest of Plainsong. Just north of Salt Bite, you should see another campfire and a grass field.
Prairie Dogs are small animals, and you need to use your Focus Mode to find them. They usually blend in with the grass as well.
As prairie dogs are usually hidden by the tall grass in the area, use your Focus Mode and aim for them once they are scanned. Keep your distance and fire your arrow, you should be able to hunt them successfully.
Hunting Prairie Dogs can give your Prairie Dog bones, Wild Meat, and hide.
