Undawn is a post-apocalyptic survival game developed by Lightspeed Studios. It takes place after a global outbreak that results in infected roaming about. The game involves building shelters, taking on quests, and exploring different terrains while fighting off hordes of zombies. This guide will focus on upgrading your structure.
How to Upgrade Structures
To upgrade your structures, you will need first to procure the Construction Materials. This will be followed by Upgrading the Structures.
Construction Materials
Upgrading and enhancing your structures is one of the quests in the Adventure Guide which needs to be completed in order to progress further in the game. To upgrade the different components inside your base, you will need to craft Construction Materials. This can be done using your Crafting Workbench.
Once you have opened the Workbench, click the Enhance icon in the bottom right of your screen. This will open another crafting menu through which you can craft Construction Materials of different levels. For instance, crafting Level 2 Construction Materials requires 2 Sheet Materials, 2 Clay Bricks, and 2 Red Bricks. These can be used to upgrade your level 2 structures to level 3.
Upgrading the Structures
Next, enter into Build mode by clicking the Hammer icon on your screen, and in the bottom right corner, select the Enhance option so that you can begin upgrading your structures. It is important to note that Construction Materials of a particular level can only be used to upgrade structures of the same level.
Additionally, you cannot directly upgrade structures to a particular level using higher level Construction Materials. For instance, if you have level 1 High Walls, you cannot upgrade them directly to level 3 walls using level 2 Construction Materials. First, the walls must be upgraded to level 2 using level 1 Construction Materials.
Lastly, if you are tired of individually upgrading each component, there is an option to upgrade in bulk using all available materials. In the same build mode, you can spot a Quick Enhance option in the bottom left corner of your screen. Selecting it will automatically give you an idea of how many materials are required to upgrade the base. However, this method should only be used if you are considering living in this base for an extended period.
