The Forbidden Legacy side quest is a side quest with multiple objectives. The first objective in the quest is to help Alva search the ruins for some data that she needs. This guide will show you how you can complete the first part of the Forbidden Legacy quest.
Search the Ruins for Data in Forbidden Legacy Quest – Horizon Forbidden West
Before you can search the ruins, you need to get the side quest first. You can get the Forbidden Legacy side quest on the Base or the Legacy’s Landfall when you talk to Alva. After getting the quest you will get the Search the Ruins for the Data objective.
Go to the area on the map above and go to the ruins. Scan the area and you should find a Vent Panel here.
A Slitherfang will appear and you need to defeat it to continue. After defeating the Slitherfang, open the Vent Panel from before.
Follow the path until you reach an open area. Climb up the second floor using the stones near the tree to your right. You will find a console at the end of the right platform.
Listen to the log and you will get a cutscene.
This completes the first part of the Forbidden Legacy quest, next up is to Climb Up to the Ancestor’s Office.
