One of the side quests you can accept from Alva in the Base is the Forbidden Legacy Side quest. The goal of the quest is to find some data for a better flood control system with Alva. This guide will show you how you can climb up to the Ancestor’s Office.
Climb Up to the Ancestor’s Office in Forbidden Legacy Quest – Horizon Forbidden West
After you search the ruins for some data, you need to follow Ava to the skyscraper. After you complete the objective called Search the Headquarters for Data on Leviathan, you need to climb to the Ancestor’s Office next.
You will find some rubble here so use your Pullcaster to pull the rubble out.
Use your Focus mode to find some ledges to climb on. Start by climbing the ledge on your right side. The beam would collapse but it will lead to some platforms you can jump on.
When you reach the last platform, look up and climb the ledges here. Keep following and climbing the yellow ledges, jumping across the gaps. You also need to use your grapple to get up higher so look for places to hook your grapple on.
Once you are at the very top of the structure, you will find a Fireglam inside. Ignite the Fireglam and use the ladder inside the elevator shaft to get to the Office.
When you reach this area, you are going to need a passcode to open the locked door.
