When you start off in a game, you’re spoiled with choices with most of them. Different classes, races and abilities to choose from it’s hard to pick! In Type Soul you can get different Shikai in the game and all of them can be pretty cool. The thing is some of them are simply better than others when used in PVP. The question is which one is the best?

In this guide, we’ll show you the best and worst Shikai in a Tier List. Just remember that by worst we don’t mean they’re useless! Now, let’s see where each Shikai ranks!

Best Shikai Tier List

Now before we get into the tier list, we should start first by saying that this is subjective. Most of these Shikai really depends on your skill and you can get the best results with the worse Shikai as long as you have skills. The thing is there are some Shikai out there that are far more rewarding with skill involved. This Tier list is also from the Youtuber revolver agz, a regular PVP player of the game. Now let’s see the tier list!

S – Tier

  • Ice – A Shikai that is great for counters since it not only counters moves but also projectiles. The latter even reflects the damage back to the attacker. It also has a couple of stun moves as well as great movement making it one of the best Shikai out there.
  • Ink – It’s a legendary Shikai and thus it’s hard to get but once you get it, you’ll know why. It has powerful attacks, abilities that slows people down and even silences some of their abilities. It can easily fight multiple enemies at once.
  • Water – It has both great defense and offense, great movement options to start a fight or retreat. Not only that but it can be a great Shikai to fight multiple people as well with all of its knock back moves.

A – Tier

  • Fire – A great Shikai to fight with multiple people as long as you get your hits right. The damage isn’t that great with the AOE attacks but if used well can really hit multiple enemies. Some of the moves can be easily countered but it has great combos.
  • Blood – You get amazing regeneration that keeps you in the fight longer. Fighting a blood user is like fighting a brick wall, you’ll need a lot of effort to get them down. It does require skill though to actually kill with it and deal effective combos.
  • Lightning – This Shikai has a lot of stuns as well as having really fast moves. It’s hard to parry this Shikai and in the right hands can be a great pick.

B – Tier

  • Confusion – Not much in terms of damage but a skilled player can really outplay and outsmart players with this Shikai. It takes a while to kill people though, but it has some great counters. It’s more of a Utility Shikai.
  • Shadow – A Shikai that really depends on the skill of the user. It has a great moveset in the right hands but it takes practice to perfect and use it effectively. Not a bad pick but not the best either.
  • Berserk – If you get your stacks up and get to your berserk going it’s a great Shikai. It’s hampered by having a high skill ceiling though with not that much return compared to the other Shikai. Still a good pick though!

C – Tier

  • Wind – It’s a great 1v1 Shikai but needs a lot of skill to pull it off. It’s horrible at fighting multiple enemies so remember that. It does have some stun moves but again it takes a lot of skill from the user to be effective.
  • Creation – Universally known as the worse Shikai in the game, just get the Creation Bankai.

Those are all the Shikai in a Tier list in Type Soul. Now that you know all of them go check out our guide on the best ways to get Shikai in the game!
