So, you just booted up Sonic.exe on Roblox without having any idea what to do in the game or where to even start. All you’re seeing right now are your favorite heroes waiting for you to make a choice in the character selection screen.

It might look like a game where you expect yourself to just run around and collect rings, but there’s more to things than just going fast. Keep on reading the guide to find out more about how the game works, we’ll start off with characters and classes!

Complete Beginner’s Guide to Sonic.exe

Let’s start out with the basics first and see what elements you’ll be looking at as you play. As soon as the game starts, you and your team will have to survive Sonic’s wrath until the exit spawns. You can have up to six players on your team to further guarantee success.

There’s a total of eight different characters you can play as right now in Sonic.exe. Each have their own set of unique controls that will help you with keeping Sonic.exe at bay while helping out your team.

Getting Started and Basic Controls

When the game starts, everyone will have their health bars on the left side of the screen. To your right will be the controls that corresponds to your characters role. Depending on the character you choose, you’ll be able to do different things with your “E”, “F” and “M1” keys. The “E” key will mostly be used for interacting with the environment and your team.

There’s also the timer in the middle of the screen that you have to pay attention to. Your goal is to stay alive until that timer reaches zero, and leave the map in one piece of course.

How to Play as Sonic.exe

If you’re playing as Sonic.exe then your goal is to attack and wipe out everyone on the map. Try to find players who are alone and use your Invisibility Skill to corner them. You have to time your attack however as it has a short cooldown after you drop your invisibility.

You also have the option to send out clones or Decoys to distract other survivors. These decoys have their own movement patterns and are slightly slower than you so it’s only a matter of time before the enemy team finds out which one of you is real.

One more thing, you’re the only one on the map who has the ability to climb over walls. Other characters will have to find their own way to go around cliffs and ledges or even use bouncers. When you play as Sonic, you only need to find red highlights along walls to be able to climb them. Use these places to ambush players who refuse to move and secure yourself a win!

What to Do When Incapacitated

After you get hit twice, you’ll go into a downed state. Here you’ll have to press your spacebar multiple times in order to slow down the bleeding.  You’ll still lose HP however, but at a slower rate. What you need to do in this state is crawl to your nearest teammate and have them revive you before you get knocked out permanently.

How to Play as the Survivors

Imagine playing this as if it were Dead by Daylight. You can only slow down your opponent without being able to do anything to actually harm them. The goal is to keep your distance and survive until the ring spawns on the map and lets you escape.

There’s no specific way for you to set up your team, but you’ll always have a good chance to have Tails as he’s the first character you’ll unlock. He’s a pretty good pick however since he can quickly get away from danger by gliding and can stun Sonic.exe from a distance. It would be great to have someone with recon abilities like Rogue if you want to spot an invisible Sonic.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
