CRIMINALITY: Melees Complete Guide & Tips | Roblox

Ready for a beatdown?

Criminality is a Roblox first-person shooter game that has an open world for players to experience. The entire premise of the game is for players to roam freely around Sector 07 and fight each other using the arsenal of weapons available to them. The game features advanced combat mechanics, which makes the overall gameplay smooth as well as challenging. This article will serve as a complete guide for melee combat in this game.

Melee Complete Guide

Types of Melee Weapons

There are four melee categories in this game, depending on the length and lethality of the weapons. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Short Weapons

Short weapons include the Shiv, Bayonette, Wrench, Balisong, Taiga, and Baton. All of these weapons take more than three hits to incapacitate the enemy. None of them have the One Tap ability except for the Taiga. The One Tap ability has a 30% chance of being triggered on each hit and instantly kills the enemy. This ability is mainly reserved for long blades or heavy blunt weapons.

Medium Weapons

Medium weapons include the Shovel, Bat, Golf Club, Crowbar, Machete, and Rambo. All of these weapons require around three hits to kill opposing players. Weapons such as bats, golf clubs, and shovels have a significant chance of triggering the Ragdoll animation on the enemy.

Lastly, weapons such as the Machete have a high chance of beheading players if the attack is aimed toward the player’s head.

Combo Melees

Two weapons in the game fall under this category which are the Katana and the Metal Bat. On the third swing of any of these weapons, you are guaranteed to instantly kill your enemies provided that you hit them in the head. The third swing of the Katanas beheads the enemy while the third swing of the Metal Bat breaks their necks.

One Tap Weapons

Weapons that can one-tap enemies include the Chainsaw, Sledgehammer, and Fire Axe. One tap refers to the fact that a single hit with any of these weapons is enough to kill enemies. Headshots with the Sledgehammer have a very high chance of breaking necks. For Chainsaws, simply hold the left mouse button while running into the enemy. Lastly, the Fire Axe instantly beheads players on a headshot.

Debug

This option is for players that wish to use mainly melee weapons for combat in the game. In the Advanced tab of settings, enable the Debug option, allowing you to see the Hitbox of your weapons as you use them. However, this option does consume additional computational resources, so it might cause your game to lag.

Parrying

Parrying refers to blocking the attacks of your enemy to avoid losing your health. In this game, if two players are using the same melee weapon, then they can parry each other’s attacks. For example, if both of them are using Taiga, then they can parry each other.

In terms of which weapons can parry other weapons, you will need to use common sense and play the game to figure out all the combinations.

For instance, Batons can parry the Taiga and Machete but cannot parry medium weapons such as Golf Clubs. Taiga can parry the Baton, Machete, and Bat in addition to itself. Lastly, the Bat can parry the Katana, Machete, and any of the smaller weapons. Katanas can parry any other bladed weapons, but they cannot parry heavy blunt melee weapons such as the Shovel and Bat. None of the one-tap weapons can be parried except the Sledgehammer using a Metal Bat.

Blocking

Blocking consume stamina, meaning the longer you hold the option to block, the more stamina is depleted. However, if the enemy hits you while you are blocking, this will stun them for around 2 seconds, and you will get a bit of your Stamina back. However, if you hit someone that is blocking your attack will be Parried, and you will lose around 10 Stamina as a penalty.

General Tips

For melee weapons, always try to aim for the opponent’s head since even smaller weapons, such as the Taiga and Wrench, can concuss or behead players if you keep aiming for their heads. Lastly, if you are having difficulty while trying to break an opposing player’s block, then try to hit them from a different angle. Most of the time, players do not expect this, and it causes them to get hit.
