Blasphemous 2 is a recently released side-scrolling game that allows players to explore the nightmare world of Cvstodia. The game serves as a sequel to the original Blasphemous game. As with the original game, the sequel features multiple endings as well. This includes a Secret ending, which can be obtained by obtaining certain Altarpieces and performing additional steps.
How To Get The Secret Ending
In total, there are eight steps that you’ll need to complete in order to achieve the secret ending in the game. Read further as I explain every step in the guide in-detail.
Altarpiece Figure Cierzo
The first step is to get the Cierzo Altarpiece, which is one of the four required for the secret ending. To obtain this Altarpiece, you need to find all three Forgotten Tributes.
Once you are in possession of the tributes, talk to the Procession of Shadows to give him these items. He can be found in the Choir or Thorns towards the upper edge of the map.
After giving him the first Forgotten Tribute, you will be transported to a new area called the Profundo Lamento. Giving him the second Forgotten Tribute will transport you to the Choir of Thorns.
After providing him with the last Forgotten Tribute, you will be transported to the Severed Tower. A chest will be in front of you on top of a stone pedestal. Simply open the chest to get the Cierzo Altarpiece.
Altarpiece Gregal
To obtain the Gregal Altarpiece, you will need to find all the 33 Cherubs in the game. Doing so will allow you to get to the top of the tower at the location highlighted in the image below.
The location highlighted on the map will lead you to the Graden of High Choirs. Here, you will see a baby wearing a Golden mask sitting on the floor. Interacting with him will result in a cutscene playing that shows the puzzle you need to traverse.
At the top of the puzzle, you will reach into a room that is seemingly a dead end. Here, you can get 4 Marks of Martyrdom and a Giant Rattle.
However, if you look towards the left of the room, there will a slight portion of the wall uncovered. This will allow you to slide against the wall and jump continuously, allowing you to reach the hidden room above.
Once you reach the top, there will be a chest similar to the previous one. Open it to obtain the Gregal Altarpiece, and you can proceed on to the next step.
Altarpiece Lebeche
To acquire the third altarpiece, which is called Lebeche, you will need to find all five daughters and complete their challenges. After that, head to the final daughter, as shown in the image below, and talk to her.
Upon talking to the bedridden woman, you will be transported to an area where the woman will a sitting on a chair. Talking to her will initiate a boss fight, so you must be prepared. Defeating the boss will provide you with the Altarpiece.
Altarpiece Jaloque
You can buy the Jaloque Altarpiece from the Travelling Merchant. The only requirement is that you must have interacted with him in all the other locations that he is found in.
Once you talk to the merchant in all the locations, you can simply purchase it from his inventory. This altarpiece costs 6000 Tears of Atonement. Once equipped, the altarpiece will heal you depending on the amount of damage you inflict through critical hits.
Altarpiece Formation
After getting all four Altarpieces, you will need to equip them in specific slots using your inventory. Once down correctly, all the Altarpieces will have a Golden color. Follow the image below for reference on how to arrange the Altarpieces correctly.
Incense of Envoys
After arranging the Altarpieces in the correct order, you will need to acquire the Incense of Envoys. For this, you will need to head over to the Chapel of Five Doves. Once inside the chapel, simply head to the top and interact with the door on the right.
You can open this door only when the Altarpieces have been correctly arranged. Inside the room, interact with the fire. This will rekindle it, and you will be awarded with the Incense of Envoys.
Eviterno Boss
Now, you need to defeat the Eviterno boss, who can be found in the Crimson Rains. Refer to the map image below to get an idea of his location.
Once you defeat Eviterno, there will be these small baby-looking characters surrounded by red particles in the arena. You must interact with them to begin your ascension. Use the Incense of Envoys as a payment for this.
Final Boss
After using the Incense of Envoys, you will have to fight the final boss. For the sake of spoilers, we won’t provide as much information about this boss.
Once you successfully defeat the boss, you will be awarded with the secret ending to the game. However, you can also view the normal ending for the game by choosing to fight the boss again but without using the Incense of Envoys.
