Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin offers a lot of upgrades when it comes to weapons and armor. It becomes especially handy as all equipment, whether you get them from the start or near the end, can have a chance to be a strong weapon if you need them to be.
Most weapon upgrades can be accessed at the start but some need to be unlocked during the course of the story.
One such upgrade would be the equipment effects that allows you to imbue a piece of equipment with various stats that would help you power up through your journey. Read on to find out how to do this easily!
How To Upgrade Equipment Effects
There are a lot of equipment effects to choose from when it comes to selecting the best one for your weapons and armor. They can range from stat buffs like Strength, Defense or Luck or aid your Limit Break, giving you more Break Damage.
To unlock equipment effects, you would need to complete the side quest Indigo Memories: The Trapped. This side quest requires you to slay three Tonberries (nastiest FF enemy, I fear) in Mt. Gulg.
Once you finish this quest it will then unlock another Smithy Hammer which you can access from the main menu > Cornelia Tab > Select the Smithy.
You’ll then be given the option to change the special effects of your gear at the cost of upgrade materials you can get from dismantling gear you no longer need.
