The Polchageist is an elusive pokemon added in the new Teal Mask DLC of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and requires specific items to evolve them into a Sinistcha. But on top of that, different types of Polchageist requires different items, so perfectionists are going to have a tough time finding one! We’re going to show possible spawn point for Polchageist and where to find the items to evolve them.
How to Evolve Polchageist To Sinistcha
First, you need a Polchageist. It’s a Ghost-type Pokemon that spawns around bamboo groves of Kitakami region. There are two types of them – Counterfeit and Artisan – and both of them look exactly the same. Except that the Artisan type is said to have a chance to spawn 1 in 1000.
Where to Find Polchageist
One of those spawn points is over this edge of the cliff next to the Reveler’s Road. They’re these small, floating brown teacups. Be careful not to let them use Memento move which causes faint and you can’t catch them at that state!
There’s actually a way to differentiate the Artisan and Counterfeit, which is from a very small carving underneath the cup. But at that point you might as well catch them and see what it is because of just how hard it is to see the marking. You have to really squint hard at your screen.
How to Evolve Polchageist
After getting whichever type of Polchageist you want, it’s time to get their evolution materials! Now, what’s unique about the pokemon is that currently, there’s only one known spawn point for each type.
For Counterfeit Polchageist, you need the Unremarkable Teacup that you can find inside a cave in Paradise Barrens. It’s not hard to find as the cave is out in the open. To be exact, it’s right below the flight point.
The other one is the Masterpiece Teacup that’s inside a cave with a Snorlax guarding its entrance in Timeless Woods. It is in the southern area of the forest, on a cliffside. It’s easy to find because of the sleeping Snorlax.

You know it’s an Artisan or a Counterfeit by checking your Pokedex. Or just trying to use any of the items to evolve them. It’ll tell you if it’s a Counterfeit if it can use the Unremarkable Teacup, or an Artisan if the Masterpiece Teacup works.
And that’s how you can evolve your Polchageist to Sinistcha in the new Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet!
