Changing the FoV is a very simple procedure that will not even require you to do anything complicated in the game. It will simply have you going into the game files and tweaking the settings from there. After that, they will reflect in the game. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Start by closing the Payday 3 game and pressing the Windows + R Key simultaneously.
2. This will open up the Run Menu. Type or copy the following text inside: %LocalAppData%.
3. Locate the PAYDAY3 Folder and click through the folders in the following sequence: Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor.
4. Locate the file inside this folder that’s called GameUserSettings.ini with a text editor or software that can open .ini files.
5. Locate the line of code that ends with SBZGameUserSettings. It will be the 12th line of code.
6. Go two lines down and you will see the CameraVerticalFoV=90 line of code. It can be a different number depending on what you had set your FoV to.
7. Highlight the number at the end and change it to whatever FoV you want beyond 90 (like 100 or 110).
8. Boot up the game and join a match to see that the FoV has increased. This change might not reflect in the Settings menu, but will definitely show in the game.

Look two lines of code down at the 14th line of code and you will see one saying CameraVerticalFoV=90. This number may also be different depending on what you had set the FoV to before. Highlight the number at the end and change it to any number that you need. 

Doing so will change the FoV setting beyond 90 and even if it doesn’t say in game, the change will be apparent when you start the game again.

However, we recommend that you do not go too high and keep it around 110 FoV. This is because too high of a FoV will lead to an uncomfortable playing experience.
