The most recent Genshin Impact update includes a number of new tasks that you can investigate. In order to complete the third quest of the In Search of Lost Time questline, you must inspect a tower close to the Fontaine Research Institute.
You will encounter enemies there while doing that, and after defeating them, you will need to continue exploring the tower. In this guide, we will show you everything you need to do to complete the Continue Exploring the Tower objective in Genshin Impact.

Continue Exploring the Tower
The second objective of In Search of Lost Time North will require you to continue exploring the tower northwest of the New Fontaine Research Institute in Genshin Impact.
After you complete the Go to the lower level and investigate the strange voice objective and defeat the Fatui, you should continue exploring the tower to move on with the quest. Before going back upstairs, pick up the energy transfer device.
Go upstairs and drop the energy transfer device in the middle of the room, near the cage. After that, activate the energy transfer terminal.
Now, you should successfully follow the steps below to unlock the area on the upper floor. First, switch lenses by focusing the device on the red circle on the wall.
After that, absorb the energy from the energy transfer device close to the terminal and transfer it to the device you put next to the cage.
Then, take the energy transfer device once more and go upstairs. You are going to see a mechanism next to the stairs. Interact with it to remove the barrier that prevents you from going to the upper floor.
Again, go up and drop the energy transfer device next to the stabilizer. Now, you should keep hitting the stabilizer until the ring on it hits the blue zone.
Once you are done with the stabilizer, the area upstairs will be unlocked, and your objective will change.
