Role and Playstyle
What’s special about Tenya Iida is that he is a Rapid role character that gives your whole team a speed boost.
Moreover, if you add more players of the same role, the effect is going to be enhanced even more. He’s also able to bring his teammates to a safer spot in tough situations.
The class also has a passive which allows you to walk on walls. This means that you can get to locations where your opponents may struggle to get to.
He is also extremely flexible when it comes to navigating different terrains and if you use him correctly. Once utilized correctly, this can be a huge competitive advantage for your whole team.
Abilities
Let’s get to his abilities, the first skill you have is Recipro Wheel. This is a kicking melee attack with wide range. This is the ability which you want to upgrade first.
At level 4, you’ll gain a huge power spike. The upgrade will then give you better reload speed for the ability and also a size increase.
The ability is your main source of damage as you fight your opponents, and it’s best for you to use it wisely.
In the early levels, cooldown may become a problem for you, so you’ll want to manage this in order to maximize your potential.
Your second ability is Recipro Burst. This allows you to perform a sideways kick melee attack accompanied by lots of engine revving.
The ability is your main tool of catching your opponents as well as damage so you can consider upgrading this second or third.
However, keep it in mind that the sideways kick can be quite slow. This means that you’ll want to make sure the attack lands or ask your teammates for some sort of crowd control effects to help you land your moves.

Your last ability is Recipro Turbo. This ability greatly enhances your movement speed as well as attack speed for the duration of the ability.
After the effect runs out, your movement speed will become much slower, which can be quite a disadvantage. You should also consider upgrading this second.

Tenya is a really beginner friendly character with his quick movement and attacks. One of the things he isn’t capable of is attacking opponents from longer range. Since the class prioritizes close melee range fights, you’ll want to avoid opponents that are too far away or may be harder to reach.
Other than that, remember to always utilize your passive to run away from enemies or to chase them whenever possible. You can also use the ability to reposition yourself and your teammates, giving your team an edge over the enemy teams.
