Assassin’s Creed Mirage: All 9 Wilderness Gear Chests Locations

There are so many areas that players can explore in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Exploring in Baghdad is also rewarded with Gear Chests that provide players with unique items that they can use like weapons and armors. This includes the Wilderness area of the map.

In this guide, we will show you the locations of all the Wilderness Gear Chests. We will also show you how you can get access to these chests. This is because many of these Chests are locked behind puzzles or hidden out of sight. Let’s dive in and see how you can get access to these Chests.

All 9 Wilderness Gear Chests Locations

There are a total of 9 Gear Chests that players can discover in the whole of the Wilderness area. Each of these Chests provides players with a gear piece and its respective upgrade schematics. However, getting them isn’t always straightforward as they are locked behind puzzles.

We will show you how you can solve these puzzles quickly so you can get your hands on that Gear.

Location #1 – Winter Palace

The first Gear Chest can be located in the top left corner of the map in the town of Anbar.

Specifically, the Gear Chest is located in a building on the edge of the docks. These docks can be located to the North of the Winter Palace.

Start by going up using the lift that can be located on the docks. When you reach up on the roof, turn left towards the building with the Gear Chest marker.

This building is not accessible yet and you will need to break down a counterweight to open it.

Look through the window on the side of the building. Using Eagle Vision, you can easily identify the weak spot of the counterweight. Use a dagger to shoot it down.

Once the counterweight is down, jump down and locate the stairs next to the building. You can now enter through the door and climb up the scaffolding for the first Hidden One Dagger Gear Chest.

Location #2 – Dur-Kurigalzu

The next Hidden One Dagger Gear Chest can be located in the Dur-Kurigalzu.

Specifically, it is underneath the area. However, getting there is not as straightforward as it looks. You will need to start by standing on the Sync Point indicated by the Eagle icon.

Once you’re there, dive down into the chasm below.

After the leap of faith, you will find yourself in the water deep below. Go up to the surface of the water and you will see a cave that leads to a hostile area.

Take care of all the guards there. Once you’ve taken care of them, grab a red explosive barrel from the many that can be found in the area.

Go to the room on the right. You will see that there is a blocked area. You can open this entrance up by throwing the explosive barrel at it.

Go through the opened doorway and follow the linear path ahead until you arrive at the top of a giant chamber.

The Gear Chest is in the middle but it is heavily guarded. Take care of the guards there and now you can loot the second Hidden One Dagger Gear Chest.

Location #3 – Water Mill

The last Hidden One Dagger Gear Chest can be located in the Water Mill. This is right underneath the Wilderness North label when you zoom out in the map.

Specifically, the Gear Chest is located in a small building right next to the Water Mill.

The location of this Chest is not immediately apparent in this building. Start by going towards the building until you see a small wooden bridge.

Jump down this bridge and you’ll find yourself near a blocked doorway.

You can move this blockage by grabbing it and pulling it away from the doorway. 

This will allow you to access the room inside. At the end of this room, you can loot the third Hidden One Dagger Gear Chest.

Location #4 – Abandoned Caravanserai

The first Hidden One Sword Gear Chest can be found in the Abandoned Caravanserai on the left side of the map.

Specifically, you want to stand on the right side of the Abandoned Caravanserai as this is where the front entrance is.

Go through this main entrance into the large courtyard. Turn to the right and look at the platform with a moveable column.

Position the column next to the barrels. The barrel will act like a platform which will enable you to jump up to the moveable column and traverse the rooftops with a red explosive barrel.

This barrel is needed to open a blockage in the courtyard on the other side.

Grab the explosive barrel nearby and jump onto the barrels. After that, jump onto the column.

Now you can jump onto the pole ahead and follow the path up to the rooftop.

Once you’re on the rooftop, there is a path that you can follow by jumping onto the beam. Continue moving ahead and jump down to the ground with the barrel.

There will be a blocked entrance in the middle of the Abandoned Caravanserai. Aim the explosive barrel at this blocked area and throw it to clear the way.

Now, you can enter inside and access the room within. On the right side, you will find the first Hidden One Sword Gear Chest that you can loot.

Location #5 – Southern Camp

The next Hidden One Sword Gear Chest can be located in the Southern Camp area, which is to the South East of the Round City.

The Southern Camp is a restricted area that is heavily guarded. However, getting to the Gear Chest is much easier since there is no puzzle.

So, it is up to you whether you want to get rid of all the guards or sneak in to get the chest.

There is a secret entrance that you can use to get quick access to the Gear Chest in the Southern Camp.

Go through the secret entrance and turn right towards the building. Go to the back of this building and you’ll find the Hidden One Sword Gear Chest right there.

Location #6 – Spymaster’s Camp

The third Hidden One Sword Gear Chest can be located in the bottom right corner of the map just West of the marshes.

Specifically, it is located in the Spymaster’s Camp, at the top of a tower.

Start by standing in the indicated spot. You will see tree branches that form a pathway to the top of the tower.

Follow the path formed by these branches. Up ahead, you will see the Hidden One Sword Gear Chest at the top of the tower ready to be looted.

Location #7-9 – Northern Oasis

You will basically need to dive to the bottom of the Northern Oasis, where there is a Secret Entrance. 

Follow the pathway until you arrive at an Isu Chamber where there are three Gear Pieces behind holograms.

You will need to place Mysterious Shards to unlock these Gears. There is a total of 10 Mysterious Shards that you can locate throughout Baghdad.

That’s everything you need to know about locating the Gear Chests in the Wilderness section of Baghdad. Some of these Gear Chests are much more difficult to get than others because of puzzles or being locked behind certain requirements. But the gear and upgrades you get from them are worth it!
