There are a lot of collectibles that you can find in Assassin’s Creed Mirage and most of them aren’t just for show. Some of them can get you a chance to obtain some cool gear like weapons and outfits that can help you throughout the game. One of the collectibles you can try to find are Mysterious Shards which can be used to open certain gear chests in the game.
In this guide, we’ll show you where you can find the 3 Gear Chests in the Northern Oasis. We’ll also show you where you can find some Mysterious Shards to open said chests. Now, let’s see what we’ll need to do!
Northern Oasis 3 Gear Chests Puzzle
Don’t you hate it when you see a chest icon on the map, and once you get there you can’t find it? That’s probably why you’re looking for the chests in the Northern Oasis. Now, how can we get to that sweet loot?
Chests Location
You’ll see the icons for the 3 chests in the Northern Oasis when you look at the map. The thing is if you go there, you won’t be able to find it. That’s because the chests are underground!
The entrance to this underground area can be found in the Oasis itself. Again, the icon for the entrance is also not that helpful when you’re above ground.
What you’ll want to do is swim to the center of the Oasis.
Once you’re in the center, you’ll want to dive down and quickly swim to the very bottom. You’ll realize soon enough that the place can get deep.
Keep swimming down until the icon for the entrance is actually on the entrance.
You can see in the image below the entrance to the underground area. There, you’ll also see the icon. So, head there and start swimming through it!
Don’t worry about navigating your way to the chests at this point as it’s quite linear. All you need to do is swim forward, and then go up to the surface where you can find the underground cave.
Once you’re out of the water, just go forward going through some common obstacles like crevices you squeeze through and platforms you jump around.
You’ll know you’re getting closer to the chests when the cave walls change to chiseled ruined walls. Also, there’s a blue tinge in the air like a bad cold filter.
Once you get to the room where the chests are, you’ll see they’re not chests. They’re some kind of forcefield that you can open if you have Mysterious Shards.
One chest uses 2 shards, while another uses 3 and the last one uses 5 for a total of 10. Where do we find these Mysterious Shards?
Collecting Mysterious Shards
These Mysterious Shards that you use in this area can be found all over the world. When you look at a region, you get a set of things you can discover in that area, one of which is Mysterious Shards.
They’re always with NPCs roaming a certain location so there are no exact locations for these shards.
