Lords of the Fallen: How to Upgrade Weapons

Lords of the Fallen 2 is finally out, and with that, players are discovering all sorts of weapons and armor scattered all throughout the games two parallel realms. As a soulslike, it is expected that you can also upgrade your weapons and other equipment. So, how exactly can you do that in this game?

How to Upgrade Weapons

First, in order to actually upgrade anything, you will need to find the blacksmith named Gerlinde. To start your search, fast travel to the Pilgrim’s Perch Bellroom Vestige.

Enter the cave to the right and continue following the path until you reach the outside area with a lot of wooden platforms. Jump across the hanging square platform and run forward until you reach a ladder.

Descend the incredibly tall ladder and shift over to the Umbral realm once you reach the bottom.

Go down the next ladder and run across the open area until you reach another set of ladders that you have to climb.

After getting to the top, run across the narrow beam and jump down the ledge to your right.

Keep jumping down the platforms until you reach a pathway locked behind some blue vines that you need to soulflay.

There are three spots that you need to hit. All you have to do is follow the blue vines until you find the targets that you have to soulflay.

The first one is under the platform that the blocked path is on. Simply run through the boney ramps leading downwards until you find the source of the vine.

The second one can be found to the upper right side of the blocked path. You may have to stand near the ledge to see it.

The third and last source is found on the left. Run up the narrow path and look up to find it. Watch out for any enemies that spawn while you’re doing these steps!

After getting rid of the three vines, you will have one last target to soulflay which is blocking the path itself. After that, run inside and climb down the ladder at the end.

Run to the right and climb down another tall ladder. From here, just follow the path until you reach an elevator, which you should take, as it brings you back to the vestige from earlier.

Rest up at the vestige to heal yourself and return to the Axiom realm, where you will be much safer. Then, go back down the elevator and kill all of the enemies.

Once you climb down the nearby ladder, you will be faced with a shielded enemy that will drop a key. This will be used to free Gerlinde from her cell nearby.

Simply talk to her and exhaust her dialogue options to hand her the key. After that, return to the vestige once more and fast travel to Skyrest Bridge.

Once you’re back at Skyrest, you’ll find Gerlinde in the room to your left after turning around from the vestige.

Speaking with her will give you the option to upgrade your equipment, which will cost a certain number of vigor and Deralium per item.

And that’s how you enhance your gear in Lords of the Fallen 2. Now, get out there and farm up some materials to start boosting the power of your weapons!
