Alan Wake 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original Alan Wake. In the original game, we had to worry about the Dark Presence, and its Taken trying to kill Alan. But in Alan Wake 2, it seems a cult is brewing in both the real world with Saga Anderson and in the Dark Place with Alan Wake.
In order to find more signs of the cult, Alan Wake has to venture deep into the Subway Tunnels of the Dark Place. In this guide, I will show you how you can find more signs of cult activity in the Subway Tunnels.
Find More Signs of Cult Activity in the Tunnels
When you remove the lights and the scenery changes so that the train car is gone, you will then have to align the black sphere to the Echo in order to get more information that will help you continue onward.
This information will lead to a Plot Element called Murder Cult, which is exactly what you need for right now. After getting it, head back to the Collapsed Tunnel.
In the Collapsed Tunnel, you will have to go to the Writer’s Room and go to the Collapsed Tunnel plot.
There, you will have to switch out the Missing FBI Agent Plot Element with the Murder Cult. This will change your surroundings to the chosen Plot Element.
Once the area changes, you will be able to see an altar with a book on it. Approach the altar and read the book.
Afterwards, you will have to backtrack a bit until you reach the flooded stairway.
At this point, you will have a light charge in the Lamp. Use the Lamp to change the stairway and remove the water that’s flooding it.
This will allow you to continue down and explore more of the tunnel.
Going down the stairway, just keep moving until you reach a hallway with a door at the end.
You will also come across Tim Breaker in a room along the way that you can go inside in, but that is entirely optional (I do recommend going in there as there are a bunch of lore stuff and supplies you can get inside).
When you reach the door at the end of the hallway, however, you will be attacked by an enemy, so be careful when you open the door as it will push back Alan to the ground.
Once you defeat the enemy, you will find a safe room where you can manage your inventory and save your progress.
Do everything you need to do and continue by going up the ladder that leads to the next area.
When you reach the Derailed Train scene, you will have completed the objective and are ready to move onto the next.
