In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there are various achievements to unlock through both the single player and multiplayer game modes. Among them is the “Snow Angel” achievement, which requires you to use a takedown on a sniper in one of the game’s missions. It may sound like a daunting task, but it’s actually quite simple, so here’s how to do it!

Snow Angel Trophy Guide

Early in the Frozen Tundra level, after eliminating or going past the first group of enemies, you’ll suddenly be shot at by a sniper.

There is no shortcut to taking him down, you’ll just have to take cover using the trees and pinpoint his current location based on where their shots are coming from, or keeping track of where he is based on his movements.

Keep in mind that your thermal sight will not work against this enemy, so you’ll have to use your plain eyes to follow him around.

When you see him, you can use a flashbang to stun him for a brief moment, allowing you to run right up to his face and hit him with the takedown prompt.

Otherwise, you can just chase him down normally and hope that his shots don’t land, because they will be extremely painful.

The sniper will be moving around a lot, and he’ll pull out his sidearm if you get too close, so you’ll want to be careful either way.

Once you hit the sniper with a takedown using the R3 button, or whichever prompt you have depending on your control scheme, you should get the achievement shortly after.

And that’s how you get the “Snow Angel” achievement in MW3. There are more to unlock throughout the game, so keep grinding the multiplayer mode and campaign for them!
