If you are someone who wants to challenge yourself with difficult and mind-challenging puzzles, then The Talos Principle 2 is for you! The challenges get harder and harder as you complete the questions the game gives you. There is also the achievement system to celebrate your efforts.
The game currently has more than 59 Steam achievements. Some achievements unlock automatically as you solve a certain number of puzzles, while some require you to solve them and still meet a requirement. In this guide, we will show you how to get the Single Rod Achievement.
Single Rod Achievement Guide
The Single Rod Achievement requires you to solve the “Seesaw” puzzle, located on the Wooded Plateau by picking up only one connector.
Once you first walk into the puzzle area, you should be able to find the connector on the left and the driller on your right.
Pick up the connector and walk towards the left side of the area. Then, look behind you and you will be able to connect to a device on the wall.
After that, look at the middle area and you will also see another red device you can connect using the connector.
Then the barrier in the middle will disappear, letting you go inside. Pick up the Driller in the middle and go through the barrier.
Afterwards, turn left, then turn around and look at the red wall. Now, use the driller device and create a hole in the middle of it.
After that, head to the location of the connector and pick it up. Behind you to the right, you will be able to see a blue device you can connect using your connector.
There is also another blue device on the other side, next to the driller you placed down earlier. Connect with that blue device as well.
After that, place the connector in the middle. Make sure that the four devices on the walls are connected to the connector.
You can see that the beam from the connector to the blue device on the walls behind has been blocked by a wall.
That said, go back to the location of the driller and create the last hole to let the beam reach the blue device.
The red beams will then turn blue, indicating that all beams have successfully been connected. Another barrier to the very back of the puzzle area will also disappear.
This will leave you with access to a golden device, letting you complete the puzzle by interacting with it.
That is how you can obtain the Single Rod Achievement in Talos Principle 2! You’ll want to connect the connector with 4 different devices on the walls. Some beams may not be able to reach your connector due to walls blocking them, but you can always use your driller to fix the problem.
