Tower of God: New World – Best Teams for PVE (Dec 2023)

Tower of God: New World features various game modes, including a story mode that constantly ramps up in difficulty to the point where you’ll have to wait a significant amount of time to upgrade your team in order to make any progress.

Having said that, this guide will try to give you a few suggestions as to how you should build your team, assuming you have the characters necessary to do so.

Best Teams for PVE (Dec 2023)

Although you can get by with just a single team in the game’s main story, eventually, you will be required to have up to three or even more of them.

Generally, you want to be pairing characters of the same color together in order to maximize their effectiveness. Early on, this may not be entirely possible based on your luck with pulls, but assuming you have a near full roster, try to stick with mono or dual color teams as much as possible.

Also, keep in mind that the colors counter one another, so your team of choice will depend a lot on what you’re currently facing. Basically, the weaknesses are a triangle that goes like this: Red > Green > Blue. Yellow and Purple, on the other hand, counter each other if one color outnumbers the other.

Yellow Team

One of the most popular teams is an almost full yellow composition with the following core characters:

• [Black March] Bam
• [Flame User] Yihwa Yeon
• [Honey Bee] Vespa
• Your choice of yellow DPS character or a different color high tier unit.

Purple Team

If you have most of the purple units or need a second team for whatever reason, you can try to use the following composition:

• [Demonic Fragment] Hoaqin
• [Assassin] Khun Kiseia
• [Strategist] Khun Aguero
• [Lightning Spear] Khun Mascheny
• [Steel Armored] Karaka

Green/Red Team

One composition typically used that utilizes mostly red units with one or two green ones is something that looks like this:

• [Data] Zahard (borderline overpowered even on its own)
• [Destined Path] Hwaryun
• [Maniacal] Xia Xia
• [Hellfire] Evankhell
• [Musician] Yellowy

Blue Team

If you need a blue team, you can simply slot in the following characters, as they complement each other well enough as a mono color composition:

• [Flight] Urek Mazino
• [Lightning Pill] Khun Ran
• [One-eyed Wolf] Blarode
• [Tactician] Lero Ro

And those are just some suggestions for teams that you can try out if you have the necessary pieces to copy them. Ultimately, it all boils down to what you have and what you’re facing, so don’t be afraid to experiment on your own!
