Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Wild Tangle’s Swarm Quest Guide

The Wild Tangle’s Swarm quest has been added to Disney Dreamlight Valley along with the major update and expansion pack. It’s a great quest that’ll get you to see and explore the Eternity Isle. This will be a guide to finish the quest at the new biome.

The Wild Tangle Swarm Quest Guide

For the quick rundown of The Wild Tangle’s Swarm, here’s what you need to do to clear the quest:

1. Explore the Wild Tangle to see who you meet.
2. Give Gaston some time to re-center himself.
3. Gaston is not yet ready to help you find the next Scarab Piece.
4. Check on Gaston.
5. Talk to Rapunzel.
6. Find the Swarming Insects in the Grove.
7. Take a picture of the insects to show Rapunzel. She might have an idea.
8. Return to Rapunzel.
9. Gather the following resources from across Eternity Isle. (see below for more details)
10. Craft some Carnivorous Floral Arrangement.
11. Decorate using the Carnivorous Floral Arrangement near the Bug-Infested Pedestal in the Grove.
12. Check on Gaston and how he’s doing with his task.
13. Return to the Pedestal in the Grove.
14. Talk to Jafar at a Hologram Station.
15. Repair the Jungle Scarab Piece at a Timebending Table.
16. Talk to Jafar at a Hologram Station about the next step.

Detailed Walkthrough

So, you start off by exploring the Wild Tangle to meet the new characters added to the game. Gaston is one of them.

The quest gets a little confusing afterward because Gaston vanishes after to “re-center himself.” Once he’s done, you can see him reappear to the left side of the map around the Glittering Dunes.

It can take a few hours for him to come back. Once you talk to him, talk to Rapunzel and she’s going to talk about swarming insects appearing in the jungle.

Go find it in this location in The Grove where you will find the Swarming Insects that you can take a picture of. Then, go back to Rapunzel to tell her about it.

And then head over to the Grassland because Rapunzel wants you to find some ingredients. They are Green Fly Trap (4), Purple Fly Trap (4), Red Pitcher Plant (4), Yellow Pitcher Plant (4), and Tropical Wood (12). You can see what the plants look like below.

If grinding for these plants take way too much time, clear up the areas and then plant only 1-2 trees. And then, you’ll allow new plants to spawn here. Else you can wait for them to respawn at the same spot you found them.

Now you can craft the Carnivorous Floral Arrangement on the Crafting Table, two of them.

Once you do, bring them over to the pedestal where you found the Swarming Insects and place the Carnivorous Floral Arrangement near it. Afterward, we can check on Gaston on his task at the same location from before.

Then, head back to the Pedestal to check on the bugs. Now, you can pick up the Jungle Scarab Piece!

Bring that to Jafar at the Hologram Station to be restored and then he’ll tell you to bring him necessary ingredients to repair the Jungle Scarab Piece. You need 3 Dream Shards and 1000 Mist.

Once you do, head back to Jafar and he’s going to do the rest of the work! With this you have finished The Wild Tangle’s Swarm quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. And you’ll also unlock the next quest, Diamond in the Rough.
