While using your PS5, you can’t really help but feel the need to do your business elsewhere in the middle of gaming. What that business may be is completely up to you, but clearly, you’re here because a simple pause button isn’t enough, and you want to watch a movie while in the middle of gaming.

Enter the PlayStation Portal, your console away from the console! Before your attention span gets the better of you, read the guide below and find out how you can watch a movie – or that new TV show your dreary officemates keep talking about!

All that while still being able to play your favorite video game, which is probably Roblox.

Some of the apps on your PlayStation Portal simply refuse to work. These apps can either be Netflix or even Spotify.

You’ll get a notice saying that whatever you’re doing “Can’t be displayed on the connected console.”

What you can do, however, to start things is use the PlayStation button and go to Game Base.

Have some of your friends if you have any to send you a link going to YouTube. Yes, we’re doing things how you would do them ten years ago because they still work.

Since YouTube lets you stream movies and TV Shows on their platform (again, for a price), you can access the available media they have on the bottom left panel of their webpage.

PlayStation Portal On Screen Keyboard

You can search for the movie you want to watch using the search bar as well. Once you find what you want to watch, go to your options and choose “Pin to Side.”

This will move whatever media you’re watching, allowing you to game and be a cinephile simultaneously.

And that’s how easy it is to watch a movie or TV Show on your PlayStation Portal. Now, go and see how long you’ll last without skipping out on an ad!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
