Perfect Tile Placements is one of the main objectives in the world of Dorfromantik. Not only do they provide bonus scores to the players, they also help prolong the game by providing additional tiles per execution. This article will help you understand everything about perfecting your tile placements.

What’s a Perfect Tile Placement in Dorfromantik?

Perfect tile placements are done by matching all the six sides of a tile to the adjacent border of their surrounding tiles.

It gives the player an additional tile and a bonus of 60 points per perfected tile—yes! Per perfected tile. With the correct setup, it’s possible to do multiple perfect tile placement up to a maximum of 7 perfect tile placement combo in one tiling. Now that’s a real challenge!

But how do we set up the perfect tiles?

Given how completely randomized tile decks are, it can be hard to plan out your perfect tiles from the start with so little area to play. In order to make it easier, the player must always keep their developing terrains open by placing the tiles facing outwards.

The reason is that tile placements that closes an area unnecessarily not only restricts the fitting terrain combination, it could also lock the developments of the terrain further.

For example, notice how the first tile placement could restrict the development of houses to the left due to the stone terrain locking it up north. On the other hand, placing the tile below allows the house terrain to develop to the left with much ease because plain + house tile appears much more often.

In worst cases, closing tile placement can leave the player with a large undeveloped void crater that could stay throughout his entire session—a lot of ruined opportunities.

Furthermore, the more you fill it, the more difficult it can become to fill the remaining gaps without ruining the possibility of the surrounding tiles for perfect placements.

By spreading the tiles outward as much as possible, the player will find themselves having the flexibility for more kinds of terrain combination, making the session feels less restrictive.

Doing this will result in smaller single holes. But don’t worry, because the terrain combinations they require are more varied, the player is much more likely to encounter them the more they progress through the game. On top of it, they don’t stall the tile developments of the surrounding either.

Think of them as a small investment for future perfect tile combos!

With the perfect early game setup, perfecting tiles can be your bread and butter in the later parts of the game when completing quests can be difficult. Hopefully, this article provided the player with all to know about perfect tiles and the most efficient way to place them. Happy Tiling!
